2013 has been the year of the lipstick for me. I seriously can’t get enough of it. I’ve been hoarding it wherever I can find it. I’m not sure yet if I’ll get on a new kick in 2014, but at least for the time being, Vincent Longo has continued to suck me in to the lipstick vortex. I am obsessed with their Silk Velour Lipsticks.
This luxurious Silk Velour Lipstick glides on ultra smooth, layering full body, even coverage in a single sweep. With a subtle tone-on-tone pearl, each richly pigmented shade reflects light for a full-bodied lipstick with mouth-watering dimension and finish. Infused with Vitamins A, C and E, this non-feathering crème texture keeps lips looking and feeling supple all day long for the perfect sensuous lip.
Creamy hydrating formula
Full body texture
Formulated with Vitamins A, C and E
Three shades: Mulberry (soft cranberry), Danae (Rose Brown), Vanguard (Soft Purple)
Vincent Longo mentions you can fill your lips in with a pencil before wearing these, but I didn’t find it necessary. These shades didn’t migrate at all, and were vibrant in one swipe. I couldn’t have been more impressed! True to the description above, these are very full bodied lipsticks. They go on with a thin, slick, yet velvety texture, and feel very hydrating while they’re being applied. They look glossy and feel creamy on the lips. I would say without eating or drinking these shades lasted a solid 5 hours on my lips which is a loooong time for a lipstick.
