Best natural deodorant for women who work out

What is the safest, natural and aluminum-free, best smelling, most effective deodorant on the market?

The search for a safer deodorant has been on for years at my house. I detoxed my pits and switched to all natural deodorant three years ago and have never looked back! I greened my beauty routine and switching to aluminum-free deodorant was on my list of lifelong changes I wanted to make. Why a safer deodorant? I’ve read about the potential risks relating to breast cancer and Alzheimer’s, and though the research is not definitive, why risk it? I also exercise five days a week, and I’ve been wanting to find the best natural deodorant for women who work out.

So what am I looking for in a natural deodorant?

I need a deodorant that works as well as an antiperspirant for when I sweat. I don’t like smelling bad, even when I’ve been to the gym. I would like the scent to smell amazing and for the formula to be long lasting. I want something that works for sensitive skin and doesn’t cause irritation. And I would really like it to come in stick form. We live in 2019, let’s get with the times. I do not like to use my hand to apply it!

What natural deodorants have I personally tried?

Lavanila: This is the first natural deodorant I ever tried. I hadn’t detoxed my pits yet and this stuff made me stink. I haven’t tried it again since I’ve been all natural.

Tom’s of Maine: This stuff made me smell absolutely horrible. I smell better where I don’t wear any deodorant than when I wear this. Seriously!

Piper Wai: I loved the tub version of this when it first came out. After they were on Shark Tank, they switched the formula and now I hate it.

Schmidt’s: This made me break out and irritated my armpits.

Kaia Naturals: This is a gel deodorant that comes in a stick. I love the stuff. It comes in a variety of scents and is very effective for about 8 hours. Then I tend to have to reapply since it’s a lighter formula.

Schmidt’s: This made me break out and irritated my armpits.

Kopari: This is a coconut oil deodorant and I really like it. It works super well and smells fresh. There is fragrance in here and the ingredient list doesn’t break it down so it might not be as natural as they make it seem.

Native: This smells good and works well. It’s got a slightly stiff formula that can be somewhat abrasive on my pits.

Explore Naturals: Winner winner chicken dinner. This is my absolute FAVORITE and as you can see I’ve tried a lot of what’s popular out there. It’s super soft in the stick so doesn’t hurt me as I apply, comes in a variety of yummy scents, and lasts through a sweaty workout. I couldn’t ask for more!

I had the same issue with Schmidt’s but was fine when I switched to their sensitive formula. I’ve actually never heard of Explore Naturals.
