Tatcha The Ritual Discovery Kit Review

I was recently given the opportunity to try Tatcha’s The Ritual Discovery Kit and I’ve finally used it long enough to be able to share my opinion with you. This my first try of any of Tatcha’s skincare line, and I have to give you a spoiler before you read my review- it lives up to the hype for sure! This is a luxury skincare line so the prices are a bit higher than what you may be used to. If you are giving it a shot for the first time like I am, The Ritual Discovery Kit is exactly where you should start!

This kit comes with four steps: One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, Classic Rice Enzyme Powder, Deep Brightening Serum, and Moisture Rich Silk Cream. The cream comes in the oily, combination, and sensitive kits. If you have dry skin, you’ll get the Enriching Renewal Cream instead. No matter which kit you get, it will cost you $59 for trial sizes of these four products!

tatcha the ritual .jpgI have been starting out my skincare routine morning and night with the One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. It takes 2-3 pumps to cover my whole face and make my skin feel soft and clean. I’ve been using this as an eye makeup remover as well and it has worked really well for that purpose. The label on the bottle says “Pure” and I would absolutely agree. My skin feels pure and refreshed after using this to cleanse! tatcha skincare .jpgThe Classic Rice Enzyme Powder came in little packets. This is actually a fantastic way to store this products because they are handy and already in the proper portion size that you need to use each time. This is a very light exfoliant and non abrasive. I’ve been using these day and night because it feels so good and I love how soft it makes my skin feel. You need to add just a few drops of water to each packet to activate the products since the packets come as a dry powder.

The Deep Brightening Serum is light and milky with a non offensive scent that I can’t place. It absorbs really fast, allowing me to apply the next step right away. The only weird thing about it is I didn’t have great luck with the pump. I had to squirt it at just the right angle and it kind of shot out weird or wouldn’t shoot out at all when I used it, but other times worked just fine. It’s meant for fading dark spots, hydrating and making skin appear more luminous. I’m working hard to fade and hide my dark spots and I swear in a few short weeks of use, this is working wonders on my skin. I love it!

tatcha the ritual discovery kit 2.jpgIf I wasn’t already digging the above three products, my absolute favorite is the Moisture Rich Silk Cream. Can I say LOVE?! Best moisturizer I have tried in a very long time. It is very aptly named- it moisturizes like non other, has a thick and rich gel like texture, and makes my skin feel like silk. I ran out of this long before I ran out of anything else in the kit because I loved applying to my face, neck, and beyond.

When I applied all of these products together, I almost felt a tingle from feeling the active ingredients working together to improve my skin. The only thing I felt could use improvement in the kit would be the addition of an eye cream- then every step I go through when I prep my skin for the day or night would be covered. I highly recommend this kit if you are traveling or looking to test out some skincare. I have loved dabbling in Tatcha’s brand and look forward to trying some new products from them in the future!

Have you tried Tatcha? What’s your favorite skincare item from them?

it’s great that this trial kit comes at a slightly more accessible price than the full sized products–a perfect way to test out the line without committing to a nearly $200 full size!

This is a brand I’ve looked at a thousand times, but I haven’t ever actually purchased anything. I think this might be my next skin care that I pick up! That kit makes it easy to try the products and see how they do on my skin! Great post!!

I would never be able to try these at the price for full size so it is awesome that the trial size is reasonable!
