Among my favorite new releases every season is always whatever Tarte comes out with. This summer they have the most gorgeous collection. Some of my favorites are the Poppy Picnic palette with the perfect array of eye shadow choices and a universally flattering blush, the Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer to help me up my contouring game, and some new LipSurgence lip crémes.
I must admit I accidentally had one of the LipSurgence lip crémes hiding in these pics- there are actually four new shades, woops! If you’ve been a regular reader for any length of time you know that I love me some lip crayons, and Tarte has one of my favorite formulas. These specific lippies aren’t sheer and they don’t apply super thick. They are a silky, full coverage lip product that goes on pretty smoothly. There are maracuja, jojoba seed oil, shea butter, and vitamin E in the formula to keep lips ultra soft. They are opaque in one swipe, and the four shades fulfill every need I have between nudes and reds. Perfection!
The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer comes three shades. I have the two darkest- Park Ave Princess 2 and 3. The undertones in each is slightly different. I have a whole post coming up about these so stay tuned! You can chisel out your cheekbones, line your hairline, and really get your contour on with these. On a regular day, I don’t do a lot of contouring, but from time to time, I will line underneath my lip to make it look fuller and contour my cheekbones with this, buffing out the line with a brush. It’s really easy to use and I’m enjoying it!
Poppy Princess steals the show for easiest palette ever for summer travel. It has an enormous mirror built in, and a perfect array of shades. the six shadow shades shown here are mattes and they do remind me a lot of the shades in the Tartelette palette that came out a few months ago (review here). The left side is summer breeze (cream shadow) sweet tea (tan shadow), ice cream cone (chocolate shadow), and the right side is barefoot in the grass (nude shadow), peach poppy (peach shadow), and picnic basket (brown shadow). The blush in the center is glisten, a golden peachy-pink shade that is just perfect for summer. I love the contrast of matte shadows and a shimmering blush. The shade reminds me a lot of Nars Orgasm. It’s super flattering and matches every single makeup look I come up with. I have been favoring the right side of the eyeshadow palette because I just love the peach poppy shade. A gorgeous flush of peach on the lids is very summery to me.
Of these four shades, I have been rocking serene and empowered a ton. I have been taking them everywhere! One of them is always in my diaper bag or my makeup bag at any given time. Trust me, you need them!
Swatches of the Poppy Picnic palette- L-R: summer breeze, sweet tea, ice cream cone, barefoot in the grass, peach poppy, picnic basket, glistenHere I am wearing the palette on my eyes and cheeks. I’m wearing the shadows on the right side, the blush, and serene on my lips! Love!
Will you be picking up anything from this fun launch? I have a couple more posts featuring these items in the works. Stay tuned!
