Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Gloss Review & Swatches

Tarte is one of my absolute favorite brands. Imagine my excitement when they came out with all new lip glosses for the LipSurgence family! I have nine of these shades to show you today. I am enamored with all of these, and I will be featuring several in my lip series I am starting soon.

I have nine of the new shades to show you. I will be featuring envy, a limited edition shade for fall, in another post. There are currently 10 LipSurgence available in different colors, intensities and shimmers. Each gloss is lightly vanilla flavored, infused with vitamin E, jojoba seed oil and flower extract, and multitasks to smooth fine lines and wrinkles while moisturizing dry lips.

lipsurgence swatchesL-R:

Park Ave Princess: radiant bronze

Natural Beauty: sheer shimmering red

Blissful: warm peach

Tipsy: sheer coral

True Love: watermelon

Flush: berry rose

Exposed: nude rose

Fearless: shimmering pink coral

Blushing Bride: mauve pink

tarte park ave princess.jpgMost of the shades come off pretty sheer on my lips because my lips have almost no color to them on their own! I’m the kind of person who needs a lipstick or liner under a gloss most of the time. These wear beautifully though, and feel so soft and hydrating on my lips.

Above, you can see one of my favorite shades, Park Ave Princess. This shimmering bronze shade is ultra sheer, and would look amazing over top of any lipstick you paired it with. True Love and Blushing Bride are two shades that are pigmented enough that I could probably wear them alone and get some nice color payoff, whereas the rest of the line comes off pretty sheer on me.

If you are a lipgloss lover, you will want to snag at least a few of these. They feel so nice and wear so well! Keep your eyes out for future mentions of these glosses. I am obsessed!

I like these but they were a little too sheer for me. I prefer more color.

I really need a couple of these!

These ‘naked’ type lipglosses don’t really inspire me, but the good thing is, you usually only need one – pick the shade that enhances your natural lipcolor the best, and done. I’d rather have a little color!

These are pretty. I have them as well. They are quite sheer, and most do not show up on me.
