A few weeks back I had posted on sunscreen and mentioned some of my past and present faves. Supergoop! Sun-defying Sunscreen Oil was on the list as a product I was looking forward to trying. I just wanted to update you on what my thoughts are for this product after having used it for a few weeks!
I had never seen a sunscreen oil before this product, and I’m not even sure that more exist! This particular one is rich in antioxidants, contains broad-spectrum 50, and meadowfoam and argan oils among other good for you ingredients.
It was hard for me to place the scent at first, but knowing that the essential oil blend of this product is pomegranate, citrus, and calendula, I can smell that it is related in some way to those scents. I almost get a nutty vibe from it. Regardless, it’s really subtle and the scent goes away in a few minutes. It’s a spray on product which is awesome, because I expected to have to spend a great deal of time rubbing it in. The spray doesn’t come out in a splat, it is more of a mist, which is nice because like I mentioned, I don’t want to spend a lot of time rubbing it in!
Why I love this is because it leaves a healthy glow and sheen to my skin, doesn’t feel greasy, and doesn’t leave the white cast that every other sunscreen leaves on my skin! It’s very moisturizing and leaves me feeling silky and soft. Downsides would be needing several sprays to cover my entire body, and the price which runs at $26 for 5 oz. I haven’t given this a test drive in super sunny and hot weather because I tend to hibernate when the sun is that bright, but when I wear this to the park on an average day I don’t get burned, so to me that is success. Maybe I’ll take it on a test drive to Noah’s Ark Water Park this summer and see if it prevents me from turning into a lobster!
This product is formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, is clinically tested, noncomedogenic, and nonirritating. It is free from oxybenzone and allergens, as well as being cruelty-free. An all around great product that you should try an get your hands on this summer!
The sheen this gives my skin makes me feel like a Grecian goddess. What sunscreen are you currently using?
