cheek stain in awakening via tarte
I don’t own this particular cheek stain, but I have their True Blood cheek stain, and I love it. This particular stain is meant to give a natural glow and flush to the cheeks. For $30 it is a bit on the high end for price, but the shade here is gorgeous and looks like it would go with any lip or eye look I would want to put together. The other cheek stain I have by them I’ve had for over a year and there’s still a ton left. There is so much product in these that they are like the never ending cheek stain.
lipsurgence skintuitive lip tint via tarte
Anyone who reads my blog regularly knows that I love lipbalm/gloss/stick in this form. I own nearly all of Clinique’s Chubby Stick line because I think they are so fantastic. I own a few lipsurgence as well, and I love the way they feel on the lips and have a slight minty tingle. Although I haven’t tried this exact product, I recently reviewed a similar product by Wei East. This “skintuitive” product is supposed to develop a color on your lips based upon your ph and energy. While it’s yet to be determined whether products like these are a hoax (in terms of reacting to your body chemistry to determine a color) it’s no joke that they’re fun to use and it’s always exciting to see what your “personalized” shade ends up at. My one tip for using products like these is to try them out before you buy them, or before you leave the house wearing it. Sometimes the color that develops is a little too hot pink for my taste.
bb tinted treatment 12 hour primer broad spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen via tarte
I’ve been on a foundation kick lately, and searching for my holy grail. I thought I had already found it, when I found Estée Lauder Double Wear, but it’s not natural. Recently, I tried tarte’s Full Coverage 12-hour SPF 15 foundation and was in love. One problem- it’s full coverage and now that we’re officially in Spring, I’d rather opt for a light to medium coverage. I haven’t tried this BB cream yet, but this is why I already know I’ll love it: 1) it’s natural. 2) it’s a primer, moisturizer, light foundation, anti-aging treatment, and sunscreen in one. Can you say multi tasker? This busy mom loves products that do it all. 3) it contains SPF 30- which is exactly what I want in a foundation. Most foundations that have SPF only contain SPF 10-15 which isn’t nearly enough to block the rays. You need at least a 30, which is what this is. 4) it’s $34 which is a decent price compared to other foundations of mine in the $40 range. 5) tarte’s line is cruelty free. While I use many products from companies that definitely aren’t cruelty free, it *does* make me feel much better when products aren’t tested on animals at all. I have a dog, Ruckus, and I don’t like animal testing.
The only thing stopping me from a purchase is not knowing if I fall under the fair or light range!
Have you tried any products from the new Spring line by tarte? I would love to hear your opinions in the comments!
