Sol Cheirosa ’62- The Scent of Summer

I’m so obsessed with smelling good that I recently bought a corner shelf for my room JUST to hold all my scented perfumes, lotions, and potions. One thing I have been (oddly) doing lately is buying fragrance blind, ordering it without even smelling based on description alone. Crazy right? Well, when you know what you like it’s actually pretty easy. My latest obsession is with Sol de Janeiro’s SOL Cheirosa ’62 perfume. It’s soooo good!

I bought this based on description alone because it sounded so delicious and sensory to me:

Boldly delicious with addictive notes of salted caramel, pistachio, jasmine petals, and vanilla, compliments and curiosity are always a part of the SOL Cheirosa ’62 experience.

I believe this is the same scent yummy scent that all lovers of the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream have grown to love.

In Brazil, cheirosa means you smell incredibly delicious. They’re not wrong. This fragrance is so yummy that even my husband loves it, and he usually hates when I wear perfume. I can’t get enough of it and it’s truly what I needed during the pandemic and stressful last few months. Fragrance can be such a comfort to me and when I smell delicious and warm and like summer, it just makes me feel good.

I didn’t stop at the fragrance, I also bought some the Glowmotions Glow Body Oils which give a soft shimmer and luminizing glow and look AMAZING on my bare, pasty legs while I’m working on my summer tan. A little goes a long way and they are so beautiful while also being scented with the yummy Cheirosa ’62 scent.

I’m also obsessed with the Bum Bum Sol Oil SPF 30. It has an SPF 30 and is a spray on oil. It’s also scented with the Cheirosa ’62 scent. My only gripe about this is that it’s on the pricey side for an SPF so I only wear it on days I’ll be laying out in the sun. I stopped sunbathing several years ago out of fear of getting sun damage, but this summer it is something I’m doing again. “Grounding” has been really therapeutic for me recently, just really digging my toes into the grass or into sand at the beach to connect with the earth has been keeping my anxiety at bay and helping me feel like a refreshed and renewed human. I’ll write more about that later. But I think if we protect our skin from the sun’s rays with an SPF, that it just feels good to soak it up and get a little tan going. So on days that I make an effort to actually be outside with a book and practice some grounding, I’ll use this. It’s been well worth every penny!

Since I’m obsessed with hair and body mists and fragrance layering, Brazilian Crush and Coco Cabana are also on my radar. Those will be purchases for another day. If you can’t tell, I’m just obsessed with this line and everything they have to offer. Everything is so yummy and makes me smell and feel great. Delicious fragrance is totally my happy place and always ends up being worth the splurge for me!
