I’m so excited to participate in my first ever Smoky Eye Friday link up! I don’t budge from my simple routine often enough, but when I pulled out all the stops for my early Valentine’s Day date last Friday, I knew I wanted to post about it. My husband and I went to the Clinkerdagger, this really fancy restaurant in Spokane that we had a gift card for. It was probably the best meal I’ve ever had. I had a huckleberry lemonade to drink, warm brie with macadamia nut crust for an appetizer, a spinach salad, and as a main course I had salmon with asparagus and the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever tasted. Believe it or not, my favorite part of the main course was probably the asparagus. I’ve never tasted anything so crisp, buttery, and delicious coming out of a vegetable before. And of course we couldn’t leave without red velvet bread pudding for dessert. I am still salivating about the memories of our delicious dinner.
But anyways, on to the makeup! I had just received some Favulash eyelashes in the mail for review. They are actually by the same makers of the eDiva, which I just posted about for the second time this week, I love it THAT much. I wish I wore falsies every day because I think they are so beautiful, but in reality, I probably wear them a couple times a year. The last time I wore falsies was when my husband and I went to the first Hunger Games movie on our date night. I planned to wear some cheapie false lashes and my husband asked me nicely to remove them because he said they looked like bat wings.
Favulash sent me a few pairs to try out, so I thought I would wear them on my Valentine’s Day date night! They were absolutely perfect for me. The pair I am wearing in these pictures is called Amanpulo. They are 100% human hair false eyelashes. After cutting two tiny bunches off the end, I found they were the absolute perfect length for my eyes. I used Kiss eyelash glue (they didn’t come with lash glue) and used tarte’s Lights Camera Flashes! mascara to bond the falsies with my own eyelashes. Check out their website if you want to read a little more about them. I think they are a fabulous deal, especially for how high quality they are, and especially if you’re willing to buy in bulk!

I really love the way this look came together. I think it looks really pretty and natural, and the lashes really top it off! Because I so rarely wear them, it was a special treat and I love that nobody can really tell I’m wearing falsies unless they’re up close. Even my husband said they looked really natural without me even asking his opinion!
