It’s been a bit since I’ve tried an awesome indie brand. When I first started blogging that’s what got me all excited- finding new products that are fun and exciting by brands I had never heard of. Awesome packaging, new and innovative products, often organic or natural, by “real” people who make them in their basement with a few ingredients and a lot of love. I don’t know why I ever lost sight of trying indie brands because that’s often where I find my favorite things!
Gloss48 recently got in touch with me and asked if I had ever heard of the brand Skin an Apothecary. I hadn’t, but was intrigued and they sent me two of their Soy Body Whip, one in Mango and one in Santorini. The jars I have are little, they are the same size you would get in the Soy Body Whip gift set. They are also AH-mazing. The packaging is really cute and I love the design of the labels. The texture is a whip- lightweight and SO soft. I mean, really really soft on my skin. The scents- you guys, I can’t even describe it. They are just heavenly. Mango smells like real, delicious and juicy mangos. Santorini is inspired by the ocean breeze and a blend of neroli, bergamot, and musk.
It’s really the texture that has me wrapped around these awesome body whips though. I need as much lotion as I can get on my hands right now because they tend to get SO chapped in the cold. A lot of lotions are too greasy, and some aren’t moisturizing enough. This is paraben free, has vitamin C, soy proteins, and coconut oil. It has a fluffy texture and is leaving my hands happy and hydrated.
As I was clicking around Gloss48’s website, I was surprised to find SO many exciting products and I’d heard of barely any of the brands. If you haven’t heard of the site before, they feature the best, must-have niche beauty products. It’s not like shopping at the mall- everything on this site is hand selected to be fabulous and you’re bound to love it. I am loving their sale section where I am finding so many awesome deals on things. I even found beautyforreal there, an old favorite brand of mine! There are many brands I’ve never heard of that I am eyeing, like Jaqua Beauty, Balanced Guru, and ADORAtherapy.
If you get a chance to poke around their website, Skin an Apothecary is currently on sale, not to mention new members get $10 their purchase of $30 or more. It’s payday Friday, and I’m heading over there now to get a head start on Christmas shopping! Do you see anything that you must have? I’m actually considering buying the Soy Body Whip gift set just so I can have the rest of the scents!
