Rouge Bunny Rouge Makeup Review

This post has been a long time in the making! I got a package of these products a little over a month ago and have been testing and loving them and finally it is time to review them. I went a little picture happy and took tons of pics of all of the products they sent me, not only because the products are awesome but the packaging is also to die for. You will see as you scroll through how gorgeous the packaging is. You will be proud to store these products on your vanity, in your purse, in your makeup organizer, or wherever you keep your pretties.

First up for review are the Succulence of Dew Sheer Lipsticks. I absolutely adore sheer lipsticks. These can be built up in a few swipes to become a little more opaque. They are impossibly buttery and feel SO amazingly soft on my lips. If you look at my pictures above, you can see that the tips come up to a point which is a little different than I’m used to seeing in lipsticks. I love how the applicator hugs my lips!

Dissolved in Dreams is a shiny, sheer watermelon with a silver shimmer. This is such a gorgeous and every day wearable shade for me. I have loved wearing this and as I write this post, I wonder what I did with my tube because I was using it daily for a while and haven’t seen it recently. This is a great shade for someone who wants to venture into reds but is feeling shy.

Fluttering Sighs is a sheer, shiny tea rose warmed with a gold shimmer. This is a perfect sheer nude shade on me. I have to be careful with nudes because they often wash me out but this is great on me! I love that it has a hint of shimmer to it. This is probably the most nourishing nude lipstick that I have, so if you find that wearing shades in the nude range accentuate your dry lips, this is a great one to try!

Murmurings is a wet looking, sheer, cool damson. This is what I would refer to as a pretty much universally flattering shade. It reminds me of Clinique’s Black Honey line, where every skin tone looks great in it. It is a gorgeous and sheer plum/berry shade.

Once again, these are all so buttery and fabulous on my lips. I am extra excited to wear them in the winter months when my lips are super parched and could use the extra moisture. Believe it or not, this lipstick line was inspired by translucently delicate butterflies from the Enchanted Garden. Each lipstick has an easy glide, hydrating dew finish formula, hop extract and vitamin E to nourish and protect fro dryness and aging, marine filling spheres to fill in fine lines and wrinkles, and sepilift to provide a firming action.

rouge bunny rouge mascaras.jpgThe Devotion Ink Quartz Eyeliner in Tanzanite Essence is a toned-down medium blue, ablaze with opalescent sparkle. This has been so much fun for me to play with! It is a very striking and sheer shade that an be built up or layered on top of another eyeliner for a cool effect. It can also be blended and smudged over the entire eyelid while wet to be used as an eyeshadow, or blended with another eyeliner from this line to create a holographic effect. My favorite way to wear this is with a bare looking lid (nude matte shadow) and layered over another color of eyeliner.

As you can see, it’s pretty sheer but it really is fun to play with! This is not a defining eyeliner. If you are looking for something that will give you the same effect as your black or brown eyeliner, look elsewhere. This is for people who love to have fun with color and different eyeshadow effects!

rouge bunny rouge quartz eyeliner 2And I have saved the best for last. I am absolutely in love with the For Love of Roses Original Skin Blush. I am currently working on a few features that include these. LOVE. Seriously. I have never found blush that looks so natural on me, like I’m truly blushing, and blends right into the skin. The compacts are cute- I left the sticker on one in the middle so you can see what it looks like when you open it- and the embossed pattern on your blush won’t last long because you will be digging into it daily, I guarantee it!

rouge bunny rouge, orpheline, habanera.jpgHabanera is a medium, sun-warmed terracotta with a hint of rose. The way this shade comes off, it looks like it could almost be a bronzer. I really love using this with a nude lip and a smoky eye. It’s a gorgeous shade when you’re not looking for a bright pop of color. It’s a perfect every day shade, and looks great on me especially in the summer when my skin is a touch warmer than usual.

Orpheline is a medium, warm strawberry with an illuminating radiance. This is the shade I’ve worn almost daily since I got it. It’s a fantastic coral pink looking shade. I think everyone needs to own it!

Both blushes have a texture that is soft and creamy, have a glowy effect when I wear them, and look like my skin only better! I can’t even tell I’m wearing blush when I wear these, which is really how it should be! If you get only one thing in this post, I suggest Orpheline blush all the way!

Have you tried this brand? I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve tried so far, my favorite being the blushes and lipsticks. I’d love to hear about your experience!

Okay I need the eyeliners. I’m not a huge sheer lipstick girl so I pass on those.
