Products That Pamper

I’ve had a rough week, I won’t lie. Last week I barely got any sleep due to my one year old teething, and this week was all about playing catch up. I have been so tired lately, to the point of complete exhaustion. It’s been all I could do to keep my head above the water this week in real life, much less getting blog posts up. I took a bunch of pictures and did some catching up last night, so hopefully I’m heading back to normal here soon. One of the things I did last night to “catch up” was pamper myself a little bit with three products that I have been eyeing in my stash lately.

I have all of these lovely face masks and I haven’t been using any lately. I’m using a really nice skincare set that I plan on telling you more about on Monday, but despite following a great routine lately my skin still wanted a little something more. Enter Själ Pearl Enzyme Exfoliating Mask. There is no greater splurge than a mask that retails for $165! Whoa is that ever expensive but the products in this line are really innovative and fun, combining anti-aging technology with gemstones and minerals. So in this case, I’m putting pearl, diamond, ruby, citrine, blue sapphire, and amethyst on my face. Cool, huh? I immediately noticed that my face was almost shimmering when I applied this light mask to my skin. The gemstones really showed up in application! The key ingredients here are mushroom enzyme, multi-fruit extract, algae extract, and royal jelly. There was nothing drying or skin tightening about this mask. I could feel the immediate benefits of hydration and balancing, and this morning my skin looks slightly brighter and renewed. This was everything I ever would have wanted out of such a pricey mask! And now I can tell everyone I exfoliated with diamonds! 🙂 sjal enzyme exfoliating maskNext up, is a body serum that’s been getting a lot of mileage. I have dry skin by nature and I’ve been using the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizers that I wrote about here but I wanted to bump it up yet another notch so I’m using the Kahina Giving Beauty Essaouira Body Serum. This is a lightly scented serum that I adored in the summer months but it’s taking me right into fall. I’ve been really into essential oils recently, and this body serum is scented with a blend of pure steam distilled essential oils. The scent is rose, lavender, herbaceous geranium and woodsy sandalwood. Other awesome-for-your-skin ingredients include argan oil, watermelon, sunflower, olive and coconut oils, and Vitamin E for moisture. I particularly love using this serum to treat my stretch marks. Although it’s not specifically for that, I do like giving my skin a little extra TLC around my stomach and thighs these days. Two children later and I have a lot of loose skin with deep welt-like stretch marks. I’m proud of my body for carrying my two little ones, and my personal trainer just told me I’m down 8.5 inches since July (yay!) but the actual texture of my skin leaves something to be desired. I love how soft and smooth this makes my body and even with night application the feeling carried on until morning!

kahina giving beauty body serumLast but not least, exfoliating my lips makes me feel like a new woman! I’m really enjoy the Sara Happ Lip Scrub in Créme Brulée. I just recently moved a seasonal lip scrub from last winter off my bathroom counter and now this one will be taking up permanent residence. If you’ve never tried Créme Brulée, it’s a mix of caramel, sugar, and warm, burnt vanilla. I love the dessert, but this calorie free version for your lips is so wonderful. I take pretty good care of my lips, but exfoliating them really takes any residual dryness and flakes away. The scrub smells good and also tastes good, although I’m not sure I was supposed to be licking my lips while this was on them! I’m tempted to collect all the flavors now, but there is SO much product in one tub that it will take me forever to get through this one!

I’m betting that gemstone mask made you feel like a million bucks! Or at least $167. lol. Sounds like you earned it, though! Hope this week goes a little smoother.

Sometimes you have to just pull back and pamper yourself a little. Refresh, recharge and you are ready to go, again.

Hmmm… that lip scrub sounds like my cup of tea. I think the Enzyme scrub sounds nice, but I think it would be too much for my sensitive skin.

OMG I am obsessed with that Sjal mask. Sjal is totally a new line to me that I am trying out and so far I LOVE it all. The tonic mist ROCKS too big time! Expensive but totally worth it. 🙂 Great indulgences girl! xxo
