Products I Use For Relaxation & Pampering

Hey all! Do you see that box below? It’s a big box full of makeup. I’m packing to move! We’re relocating to Spokane, WA. Woot woot!
You may have seen this picture on Instagram if you follow me there. If not, what are you waiting for? Don’t you want to see pictures of my daily life happenings?
Also, from Instagram, the picture above shows what I did yesterday after some major packing. Hornsby’s and lavender essential oil were both major lifesavers last night! Read below for some of the most pampering products that I have been loving lately. They are really helping me to unwind!

L’OCCITANE sources its exquisite lavender from Haute-provence, where fine lavender abounds on the plateaux. Since 1981, the expertise of lavender producers from Haute-provence has been protected by a c.D.O. (controlled Designation of Origin) label. This year, the label will be given a European dimension: p.D.O. (protected Designation of Origin). Awarded only to the purest essential oil from Haute-provence, this designation guarantees the quality and traceability of the essential oil. Featured on the products in the L’OCCITANE Lavender collection, the new label ensures not only the exceptional quality of the essential oil within, but also the unrivaled skill of the region’s producers and distillers of fine lavender.

This roll on essential oil is amazing! I turn to aromatherapy every so often to help me unwind, and this is the best essential oil that I’ve found. It’s very concentrated, and like the description says above, it is very pure. You can tell when you apply it just how pure it is. I’ve been rolling this onto my wrists, my neck, and my temples. It makes an enormous difference in my mood after a long day of packing. Also, the scent lingers longer than most other essential oil products, and it’s organic. At $15 bucks this is a definite repurchase for me. In the meantime, it’ll be living in my pocket.
L’OCCITANE regularly does freebies on Facebook, so it’s worth following them there-

Alba Botanica’s Hawaiian Cocktail Body Wash has been a very relaxing product for me lately. The scent is Mai Tai, and is soft rather than overpowering. Some alcoholic beverage inspired body washes have actually made me sick to smell before (coughBathandBodyWorksMargaritascrub) but I like the subtlety of the fragrance in this one. I don’t like being hit over the head with a scent when I’m using it. This is all natural and truly takes me to another place in my shower for a few minutes while I’m using it. The disappointment only comes when I step out of my shower and realize I’m still at home, and not in Hawaii. This is a great product that I recommend.

Nelson J’s new Argan Oil 7 in 1 Non-Foaming Shampoo is one of the neatest products I’ve come across lately. The product does 7 things in 1! It replaces your shampoo, conditioner, detangler, shine spray, smoothing serum, color protector, and pre-styling lotion. It is the first non-foaming shampoo that cleanses hair thoroughly but without all the harsh ingredients that may be found in ordinary shampoos- it is designed so it won’t strip hair and scalp of their natural oils. Just like the name implies, this doesn’t later- at all. I’ve found myself using a ton of it each time I’ve tried it just because I feel like it’s not spreading when there’s no later. There are mini blue beads in here as well which are really fun! The scent is a citrusy mint. I love the idea of being able to save so much time in the shower and while styling my hair. My only tip would be to make sure you really scrub at your scalp before getting out of the shower or every time you have an itch to scratch on your head you might get a little blue bead off with your hand!

MoroccanOil products are amazing. I’ve been using them for years because they smell wonderful and they are so effective. The mask is awesome to use when I need a little pick me up and leaves my hair feeling so soft and smelling fantastic. The serum keeps my hair feeling the same way even after it’s dry. These are must have items for me if I want my hair to feel pampered, detangled, fresh, and soft.

This has been my go to cream lately for my rough spots on my skin. The jar is tiny but it is very thick cream that is highly moisturizing. I’ve been applying it to my knuckles where my skin is cracked from a long winter and it’s been doing a great job. I love that it’s for sensitive skin as well and I can’t pick up a scent from it at all. I really can’t stand overly fragrant lotions on my skin!

Me & The Girls is a great line for pampering. The scent and ingredients include lavender and spearmint. These two fragrances come together in the most lovely way. It is an unexpected scent, but very good. I would not have pictured myself liking the combination of those two smells, but it is so calming and so relaxing. After trying these foot products, I actually went through and tossed a bunch of of products meant for exfoliating and feet. When these run out, I intend to repurchase. The way I tested these products out was in a 10 piece beauty gift collection. Check it out here. I highly recommend reading the story behind their company as well. The part of their website that explains the story is currently down, but it had something to do with the founder helping drug addicted babies. Such a touching and wonderful story. Furthermore, this company uses no parabens, GMOs, preservatives, artificial fragrances, synthetics or fillers, and all the products are vegan.
Farmhouse Fresh is a fantastic brand that I’ve been working with recently. They sent me this Front Porch Punch Shea Butter For Body. It is SO good. I mean, I don’t know that I’ve ever smelled anything better than this. An 8.7 oz jar retails at $30, which is pricey but in my opinion SO worth it for the quality. It is 90% natural, vegan, and gluten free. This and all FarmHouse Fresh products are also paraben and sulfate free. This particular shea butter cream is more like a whipped cream. It is so light and creamy. The scent is like berries covered in cream. Strawberry, grapefruit, peach, mango, and melon. It sounds like too many berries, but I can assure you it is just the right amount of everything. This literally makes my mouth water when I open the jar. It is not heavy on my skin or greasy, but still leaves me very moisturized. I’ve been using this on my whole body after my shower.

And there you have it! These are the products that have been making me feel GOOOOOD. I am so stressed right now but when I pamper myself I find that it really takes the edge off. I highly recommend all these products if you are looking for products to help you destress a little.
Now I want to know…what do YOU use to destress?
