I just hauled a few items at Sephora last week, and on my wish list for a while now has been the new Milk Makeup Eye Pigments. I saw Tati raving about them on her channel and they had already caught my eye to begin with so it was a done deal. I am so selective about adding more makeup to my collection but a product like this that I’ll use every day is an exception to me.
I’ve been looking for highly pigmented cream eyeshadows to replace my ancient Make Up For Ever cream shadows that I’ve had for years. They have lasted me forever, they’re amazing, and I love them, but four years later and it’s probably not sanitary to continue using them, especially since I have to dip my finger in the pot to use them. When cream eyeshadow in a tube came onto my radar, I knew that would be my replacement!
I narrowed it down to two colors that I wanted to try- After Party (light pink) and Gig (Bronze). For me, these are the two most versatile shade options for a one color sweep across my eyelids. The tubes are huge compared to what you are probably expecting when you order them, and I already can see they will last forever.
I’ve only used these for a week but they have become a fast favorite. They blend well, don’t crease, are vibrant, and water resistant. The brand is also paraben-free, eco-conscious, and cruelty free. I love that Sephora has brought in so many new brands lately. Not that I judge a brand’s merit based upon whether they are sold in mainstream stores, but I have discovered many new brands that way that might not have made it on my radar otherwise.
Most of you probably won’t think these are groundbreaking but for a mom who wears a messy bun and the same type of outfit every single day, it’s refreshing to find a staple I know I can count on. I’ve been using these by themselves or layered with a powder eyeshadow over top and they perform great each way. They are the best loved bra cami of my makeup wardrobe.
Don’t mind my dry, flaky skin and serious under eye bags. This is what I look like when I touch up my makeup. I should’ve redone my concealer before taking this picture 🙂 I need a good exfoliation and a face mask like yesterday. More on that later this week on the blog!
