My New Favorite Makeup Setting Spray (On Par With UD All Nighter!)

I have to share with all of you my new favorite makeup setting spray. I like to spray my face to set my makeup every day because I think it makes it last longer. All the better if it has brightening agents as well!
L’Occitane has quickly become one of my favorite brands over the past couple months. Their brightening mist is no exception.
The Immortelle Brightening Mist is an alcohol-free toner enriched with Immortelle floral water and Bellis Perennis that helps refresh, soften, illuminate and refine skin’s texture. It can also be sprayed onto the skin after make-up application to help make-up stay in place all day.
I would do a before and after, but that would be kind of geeky because you really can’t tell *that* much of a difference in pictures. In person, I think it makes a bit of a difference. Obviously, it’s “brightening” but it doesn’t make you look like a strobe light. It just adds the slightest sheen to your skin that makes it look dewy but not greasy.
The main selling point for me? It’s alcohol free. I had been using Urban Decay’s All Nighter spray for the last couple years. I ALWAYS use a setting spray. Just seems smart if you are going to spend that much time on your makeup to take the time to set it so it doesn’t budge. Anyways, UD’s product contains alcohol. The prices are pretty comparable too:
L’Occitane= $20 for 3.4 oz.
Urban Decay= $29 for 4 oz.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the Urban Decay product, but I have been making an effort lately to use products closer to nature. No doubt spraying alcohol on your face zaps oil in a quick hurry, but I’d rather use the alcohol-free one if it does the job just as well. I have been traveling and brought the Immortelle spray with me, but forgot to use it today. I can definitely tell a difference in my skin because it’s only 5:30 pm and my makeup is already fading.
If you are in the market for a new setting spray, I’d check it out!
