It’s almost Mother’s Day! This year the big day falls on Sunday, May 10th. I am always forgetting about Mother’s Day because it usually falls on or around my husband’s birthday so we are usually celebrating HIM during that time. I love to celebrate all of the mothers in my life- myself, my mom, my grandma, my aunts, my mom friends, my friends who want to be moms, and dog moms. You deserve to be celebrated! Here are a list of awesome gift ideas that you can pass along to your people when they ask what you would like. Stay tuned in the weeks to come, because I will be reviewing a lot of these items in depth- this is more of a rundown of awesome stuff that I know you will love by brands that I love!
Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask would be an awesome gift! I am feeling so pasty right now and I could see a gift basket with this tanning mask, a pair of flip flops and a promise of going on a weekend away being the PERFECT gift for any mother. I haven’t used it yet but I have high hopes that it will be awesome because I want to take my skin tone from “light” to “medium,” so I can try a few foundations I have that are too dark on me right now!
I have been loving the grown up shimmer I get from Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadows (review here) and I think a gift of their primer and foundation would be very thoughtful for the lucky lady on your list. You can tell her you have been reading beauty blogs and you wanted her to feel pampered! Everything I’ve tried in the RBR line has been so luxurious!
I have been wowed lately by Avon and I don’t think you can go wrong with their Ultra Color Indulgence Lip Colors, Clinical Overnight Mask (reviewed here), and their Winged Out Mascara. Avon is an awesome brand that I’ve been using for at least 15 years and to buy their products supports women, since you purchase through independent consultants. What better way to celebrate mothers than to support their business?
Show a mother who uses her hands a lot that you care by gifting her with some Le Couvent Des Minimes Hand Cream minis. Yellow is Blood Orange & Rosemary. Green is Orange & Basil. I am digging the herbal scents and how soft these make my hands feel.
Give the gift of natural skincare with Sibu Beauty. The active ingredient in this set is Sea buckthorn, a tiny but resilient fruit that survives harsh weather conditions and high altitudes. I’ve reviewed these products here.
L’Occitane recently came out with a quarterly beauty box. I totally loved the first one, reviewed here. The most recent one also hit it out of the park, and I think it would be the perfect gift for the mother in your life. This one has the addition of Sugarfina Champagne gummy bears. Sweet and luxe, this is sure to please the recipient!
Pivoine Flora is a gorgeous peony scent that is so soft and delicate. I have used the shimmering oil in this fragrance before, but recently discovered they have a shower gel, hand soap, hand cream, and perfume in the fragrance. I just think the Eau de Toilette is gorgeous. My two year old asked me if it was apple juice in the bottle. I guess it does kind of look like an apple! I think the packaging on these is amazing and I love the scent. Look for a review in the weeks to come!
The Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc gift set is a new spring collection gift set. You get the velvety, rich notes of the blue Iris flower combined with the luminous, transparent notes of white Iris. This is a killer deal, as you get the Eau de Toilette, Shower Gel and Body Milk for only $78. The soap pictured above is not included, but it is available to buy separately in this same scent!
I reviewed the Néroli Orchidée fragrance last year, but if you are interested in a gift set, you can grab up the Eau de Toilette, Body Milk, and Shower Gel for only $78. I had the hand cream and fragrance handy to show you a picture. I think any combination of the products from this scent would be a great gift! There are some complex notes at play here between the Tunisian Neroli and the White Orchid- you may want to sniff it before buying because it’s very fragrant, I love it!
Jasmin & Bergamot is another awesome fragrance from L’Occitane and you can find it with the Eau de Toilette, Body Milk, and Shower Gel in a gift set for $78. I have the perfume and hand cream pictured here. This is another complex fragrance that comes across as really herbal to me. It has notes of jasmine flower from Egypt intertwined with bergamot essential oil from Italy. It’s a really nice floral and I think any woman would love to wear it!
I don’t think you could go wrong with L’Occitane’s skincare. I love everything with Immortelle in it (seriously, have you smelled it?!) and I think you would be a very popular gift giver if you hand picked some favorites for the mom in your life. I have shown above here the Imortelle Oil Make-Up Remover, Precious Mist, and Divine Oil. If you want a premade gift, you can buy the Divine Collection for $186 and it contains a Precious Cleansing Foam, Divine Cream, Divine Eyes, and Divine Lotion.
L’Occitane’s Sublime line would be an excellent way to pamper the woman in your life. I don’t see it up on L’Occitane’s website yet, but it is all brand new at Sephora right now. I have a couple CC creams to share with you as well as the Essence Skin Perfector, Perfecting Cream, and lip balms. I would be so excited to see this as a gift for a loved one. You won’t go wrong if you wrap up a couple pieces from this collection!
Skin Inc has an extra special serum that you can custom blend at home, just for mom! I love the “I Love Mom” charm that is hanging from the front. I think my mom will love this. It’s perfect for any skincare junkie because they are great ingredients AND you get to DIY at home. How cool is that?! They have three sets right now- Hydrate ‘Em, Get Glowin’, and Lines Begone. All custom blended, all $90, and all fabulous. Be on the lookout for a review of this one in the weeks to come!
Radical Skincare is yet another skincare line worth checking out. They have some great products if you are specifically looking at anti aging. I am using their Age Defying Exfoliating Pads right now, and am also checking out their Instant Revitalizing Mask and Skin Perfecting Screen.
Lastly, I know I wrote about a lot of fragrances today, but the C.O. Bigelow Rose Perfume Oil has been awesome lately layered underneath fragrances or on its own. It’s an oil, not a regular fragrance, so I have noticed that the scent tends to linger a little longer than it would have otherwise. It’s highly concentrated, and so you barely need any. I love love LOVE all things rose, so this is the perfect scent for me. I have a lot of scents with rose in them, like Roses et Reines by L’Occitane, and I’m finding it fun to layer this as a base with more complex rose scents on top.
Phew, that was a long list. I think you can agree that everything on here would make a fabulous gift. I loved giving my two cents and a quick idea list if you are in need of some shopping inspiration. Check back and let me know what you end up getting, if anything.
Do you have a favorite Mother’s Day gift that you’ve received? I’d love to hear about it!
