Making it Happen- Meeting Goals & Getting Ready for Baby #2

It literally JUST occurred to me this week that I am going to be having another baby in September. I obviously have known that I’m pregnant, but it’s only been recent that it’s really hit me how unprepared I am. This time around, I’m having another girl so I have all the clothes already. But a second carseat? A double stroller? I need to buy those things. My breast pump, all the newborn clothes, baby sling, pack and play, etc…I have those things but where even are they? Half the crap I need is in storage and God only knows where!

Not to mention all the items on my to do list that I’ve been putting off for seriously forever. Am I the only one who creates to do lists every day and things will get pushed to the bottom of my list every day for a year until I realize that my lack of organization is killing my ability to get things done in a timely way? It seems like all of the things that are stressing me out lately are photo related. I have a couple thousand pictures on my iPhone, which is now running out of storage. I am unable to take more pics on my phone until I move them somewhere and delete. I have been putting off this particular errand for at least 6 months. I also have a couple thousand pictures I’ve taken of my child and of blog stuff on my camera. Every time I go to write a post, I have to rifle through thousands of pictures to find what I’m looking for. Taking pictures off my memory card and moving them elsewhere would take SO little time compared to how much I waste daily rifling through things.

When I got a package in the mail from the Lara Casey Shop the other day, it really inspired me to get stuff done. I love this print of hers above that says “Make it Happen.” Everything from the script to the message is perfection. Make it happen, Justina. You can get all your stuff done! You can live stress free!

make it happen 2.jpgI am in love with this print! I can’t wait until we buy a house and I have a desk to hang this above. I am totally into daily affirmations and this is such a positive one!

those things you've wanted to do.jpgHere is another smaller print by them that reads “You know all those things you’ve always wanted to do? You should go do them.” I also love the message here. I’ve left it in the plastic sleeve for now while I look for a frame. This particular print is in the 4×6 desk card size. The “Make it Happen” print was an 8×10 and the way they have it with a matted frame I love. I may have to swap mine out for a frame with a mat if I can find one I like!

You should totally check out Lara Casey Shop’s sale page, power sheets (perfect for keeping track of goals!), and her vow print, which I love in blue! Totally cute shop that I’m so glad I have discovered.

By the way, I have been inspired to “make it happen” for myself this week, and today I checked a few things off of my to do list. By Friday, I will have my picture situation sorted out. Seriously, I need to just go do all the things I need to do! Sometimes all you need is a little kick in the butt to get stuff done, and I’m glad this prints came into my life to give me the motivation I needed this week.

Every Wednesday until I go into labor I will be bringing you a series on babies and specifically things you NEED in your life if you have more than one. I’m at week 30 (cucumber), so expect 9-10 posts in the weeks to come until my due date of September 11th! I’m so excited for the post I have planned for next week.

I hope you’re having a great Wednesday and MAKE IT HAPPEN for yourself today!

It’s so true. Go *do* those things you want to do. That was my mantra for the year I turned 40. I got the tattoo I always wanted, went on a hot air balloon ride, and saw lots of different things in Florida. I need to get back on that bandwagon. So, use the good china, wear that ‘special’ jewelry or perfume, and invite your friends over even if the house isn’t picture perfect. Live!
