Makeup Game Changer: Becca Backlight Primer

Every once in a while I will stumble upon a product that is a game changer for me. Maybe it covers my undereye circles like none other, maybe it’s a lipstick that’s longer lasting like all the rest, or maybe it will make my complexion look like a newborn baby’s butt. Even better if it takes five seconds to add it to my beauty routine so I can reap the benefits of it daily without it adding too many more steps to my morning. Recently, I discovered a game changer that gives me a lit-from-within glow and it truly only takes five seconds to apply. I’m in love! (And yes, this is the product that I hinted at last night on Instagram.)

Becca Backlight Priming Filter makeup game changerI’ve been adding a pump of the Becca Backlight Priming Filter* to my makeup-free face before makeup application. This primer is infused with crushed pearls, and besides making me feel like royalty that I’m applying pearls to my face, I really think it gives me a certain radiance.

In certain places on my face I can tell that it gives me a bit of a glow without even having makeup on over it. I think this would be great on fair skin since the light reflecting pearls are so light, but I think it would be just gorgeous on a deeper skin tone too. I can’t wait to use this in the summer. I can’t wait for summer! We currently have about 8 inches of snow on the ground. Sigh…

Before and after using Becca Backlight Priming FilterI would’ve thought if your primer had that much radiance to it that you’d have to stick with a sheer coverage foundation, but this really does shine through whatever you put over it. I have been enjoying the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation*, which is pretty full coverage. I can still see a little bit of glow peeking through from underneath. I plan to experiment with some of my sheer coverage tinted moisturizers and CC creams to see where it gets me.

The only thing that gets me about it is that it’s not overly hydrating. It’s not drying either, but I just have to make sure I’m getting my moisturization in from my face cream, serums, etc. Yet another reason I can’t wait to test this out in the summer, because my skin is usually a little more balanced in that season. Right now I’m just so dry! If I’m already swooning over it when I’m dry though, I know it’s good!

You can see from the side that I’ve got some glow going on. Becca as a brand just does the glow so well. Ever since I tried their Shimmering Perfectors for the first time a few years ago, this brand has stuck out to me as the go-to place to get your highlighter. Speaking of Becca’s highlighters, I have been really obsessed with their poured version of highlighter, it’s a cream and the shades are so pretty. I’m wearing Pearl in the picture above and I’m pretty obsessed. I also noticed that their pressed highlighters have been restocked in Pearl, a soft luminescent white shade and I can’t wait to get one. I think they were limited edition before and they brought it back.

Do you have a makeup game changer? Do tell!

No one does Glow like Becca! You look radiant. You can certainly pull off the completely no makeup look, but I also love how your skin looks with just the primer. The full makeup face is glowy and glam!

That makes your skin look great. You’ve created a lemming for me! One of my game changers is Becca’s Undereye Corrector, it really brightens under my eyes.

Beautiful! I love the glow you get on your cheeks. Do you think that’s from the poured perfectER or the filter product or a combo of both? Are you wearing blush too? I’d love to hear more about this Mufe product too!
