Low Maintenance Summer Beauty Routine

PR SAMPLEAFFILIATE LINKS  Low maintenance summer beauty routine for busy babes on the go

I am all about getting out of the door in a quick hurry, so a low maintenance summer beauty routine is my jam. In the warm weather, I gravitate towards bronzy, glowing, natural looking makeup. My biggest beauty concern? I want to make sure my makeup wears like iron because of the summer humidity in Wisconsin. And I always incorporate an SPF because I want to keep looking youthful in the summers to come!

I’ve been starting my beauty routine with a dropper of facial oil (I have so many favorites- I’ll do a post!) to soften and illuminate my skin. If I’m going to be spending time outdoors, I’ll use the Volition Beauty Prismatic Luminizing Shield or the Olay Complete SPF 15. Next, I’ll go in with Laura Mercier Radiance Primer to give my skin a bronzed and brightened base before going in with foundation. My next step is a really good foundation with hydrating qualities. I’ve been reaching for several this summer but gravitating towards the Osmosis Satin Foundation or Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation because they are both great at hydrating and looking dewy which is just what I want in the summer! Every foundation I have sets beautifully with a dusting of It Cosmetics CC+ Airbrushed Powder. My Clarins bronzer is the one I’ve reaching for daily and it’s the most beautiful, matte shade that deepens my complexion in such a natural way. Next I’ll comb through my eyebrows lightly with the Tarte Busy Gal Brows  to slightly tint and groom them, and then apply the Clinique Workout Mascara for a smudge and budgeproof summer mascara. Both the brow gel and the mascara have been unexpected favorites but perfect if I’m trying to be low key and put together at the same time. I’m finding the Tarte Aspyn Ovard Palette perfect for the rest of the finishing touches. I’m doing my blush, highlight, and eyeshadow with these perfect neutral shades and they are subtle but pretty. Although it might look like just another neutral palette to you, I love that the shimmers go on even more bold when you get them wet. Lastly, I’m often reaching for the Axiology Lip Crayon in Serene as a way to tie everything together. If I need to touch up my sun protection, a few spritzes of Coola Makeup Setting Spray has SPF 30 so of course it lives in my purse in case I need it!

Low maintenance summer beauty bag

I’ve been wearing these few beauty products just about every day and I have my routine down to about 5 minutes. Throw my hair in a top knot, find some jeans and a t-shirt, and I’m ready to roll! I haven’t had more than a trim on my hair in FOREVER and it’s unmanageably long, so hence why I’ve been wearing it up so often lately.

Anyone else have a low maintenance summer routine they want to share? I love that I can throw these few items in a makeup bag and it takes the guess work out of getting ready in the morning! If I have a little more time, I will add some liquid liner to my top lash line, but ain’t nobody got time for that step when they’re trying to be QUICK. I mean, usually I have to add more liner to each eye numerous times to get them to look even remotely similar. Can I get an amen? LOL
