L’Occitane Fall/Winter 2015 Launches

L’Occitane has come out with two new collections for the season, and I’m going to share them with you today! If you’ve been reading my site for any length of time, you’ll know I’m obsessed with L’Occitane’s fragrances. I don’t really cover too many fragrances these days (although I just discovered Fresh fragrances recently and also love those!) but these are absolutely worthy of discussion so I had to let you know what was up. The two new fragrances collections are Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli and Pamplemousse Rhubarbe.

Does it seem to you like L’Occitane’s packaging is getting a major upgrade? I adore everything from the short and fat bottles to the funky fonts and colors on the packaging. LOVE! These two fragrances come in thick cardboard cylindrical tubes with lids. I think they’re cute and also functional. I could reuse the packaging for something else, but at the very least they’re perfect for shipping these without breaking them.

l'occitane's perfumesFirst up, Pamplemousse Rhubarbe. Grapefruit is at the heart of this scent- it’s green and crisp and accompanied by the woody notes of cedar and the tartness of rhubarb stalks. This is a very beautiful and fresh scent, and very unique! It’s very vibrant and I think a spritz or two will be all you need to be very fragrant with this scent all day. The scent lasts for hours but over time I am able to smell more of the spicy notes and less of the green and crispiness. This is one of those scents you are going to have to smell for yourself to decide how you feel. I really like how complex the scent is!

pamplemousse rhubarbe l'occitaneJasmin Immortelle Neroli is on the heady floral side of the spectrum. I really wanted to use the word “heady” because it makes me sound like a fragrance snob 🙂 But if you’re not sure what that means- it means it’s got heavy notes like tuberose, gardenia, and jasmine. I am definitely picking up on some heavy musky florals as a base but there is a certain complexity there, and I am also smelling lemon, and pink pepper as well as a hint of honey. I love how many things there are going on in this perfume. Because of the florals, I would keep to a spritz or two while wearing this, but this is such a good one, and a wonderful complement to the other fragrance. It also contains Immortelle, and I have always LOVED the scent of the L’Occitane skincare with that namesake. If you’ve smelled L’Occitane’s Néroli & Orchidée fragrance (review), I think that’s similar!

Jasmin Immortelle Neroli definitely takes me to another place. I know that L’Occitane’s fragrances are inspired by France, but this reminds me so much of the gardens at Manito Park in Spokane, WA where we used to live. We would bring company there every time they came to visit and it was such a fun thing to do.These gardens were very regal and a popular tourist attraction and I have great memories of visiting with our friends and family there.

When going to purchase, the fragrances are available alone for $62 for 2.5 oz. and the other items are sold separately. I think a hand soap and a lotion pairing would make a great gift, or the perfume would be great by itself. There is one gift set available with a hand soap, lotion, and lip gloss. If you have a lucky lady on your list, get them all! She will be thrilled. I will link the gift sets below so you can shop!
