I feel like I’m a bit behind getting this post up. The Aromachologie line has been out for a few weeks now and I haven’t said a peep here about it yet. I am always first on the bandwagon when L’Occitane comes out with something new and exciting! With all the changes I’ve had in my life in the past couple weeks, I’ve been enjoying this line and am just now getting around to sharing it with you!
The Aromachologie line is all about essential oils. Using essential oils helps to capture the highest concentration of a plant’s benefits, allowing the products to penetrate well, work fast, and have an excellent capacity to carry natural nutrients to the hair and skin.
The Bonne Mére Olive Shower Gel sounded ordinary to me. I have other olive shower gels and the scent is pretty light and standard. I was pleasantly surprised that the scent of this had a bit of a bite. It is enriched with real olive water and has a slightly woody/spicy fragrance. It’s really, really good. I find that the scent comes off as a fresh and clean type smell rather than heavily fragranced, and it fades after a bit too. This is a product that I think both men and women would enjoy!
The Aromachologie Revitalizing Body Scrub has been another favorite of mine. The gorgeous glass jar it comes in is a dark brown color and reminds me of a vintage apothecary jar. This sugar scrub contains sugar crystals to slough away dead skin cills and it is 100% natural. The scent is citrusy and I can also smell the essential oils. I’ve been keeping this in my kitchen to use there rather than the shower. I worry about keeping a glass jar in the shower- our master bathroom shower only has narrow places to set things and I don’t trust glass in the girls’ shower. But it works great as a hand scrub and I have been loving using it that way, so it’s perfect! The sugar crystals are really small, making this a gentle scrub instead of a rough one.
Aromachologie Relaxing Perfume Satchets are not something I would have thought to buy but I really love them. They are filled with dried lavender and beads scented the essential oils of lavender, bergamot, mandarin, sweet orange and geranium. They release fragrance wherever they are sitting. They come in a little cardboard box with two satchets, and you can smell it before you open it! It’s not overwhelming and the scent isn’t synthetic because it’s 100% natural. I ALWAYS want to have perfume satchets now that I have tried them! I’m keeping them in my closet to spread the relaxing scent among my clothes. It obviously doesn’t scent my clothes themselves, just the air in there, but I figure my post-preggo body can use a little relaxation and aromatherapy in the morning when I open my closet to a wardrobe of clothes that don’t fit currently.
L’Occitane Divine Youth Oil is a seriously amazing skincare oil. I have tried a few pieces from the Divine Youth line before, and they all have the same scent- almost a floral/herbal scent. I enjoy it, but is rather strong for a few minutes before fading. After just a single use of this, I was already seeing skincare benefits. After a few weeks, my skin has consistently felt soft and amazing. This is supposed to help reveal skin’s radiance, improve skin’s firmness and tonicity, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and help maintain skin’s velvety and youthful appearance. I would agree with the claims. This is meant to be used at night but I’ve been using it day and night after cleansing and before moisturizer. When I use it at night, I wake up with smooth and supple skin. When I apply it sparingly in the morning before makeup, my foundation looks smooth and amazing on my well hydrated skin. I’ve been using it twice a day for several weeks and I’ve barely used any up- a little goes a long way- so the price tag might seem high, but it does last forever!
If you read my blog regularly, it will be no surprise to you that I love this line. I am a huge fan of everything L’Occitane. Check out the L’Occitane Aromachologie line by clicking any of the links below!
