I am an under eye concealer junkie. I swear I own half of the ones currently on the market, yet I can never be happy and even if I find one that I think is magical, I am still out there looking for the next best thing. My most recent find is Laura Mercier’s High Coverage Concealer for Under Eye. It’s a 3-in-1 concealer that comes in 12 shades. There are many choices for yellow, pink, or neutral undertones. My shade is 1.5, a light beige with neutral undertones.
I love the applicator- it’s a squeezy bottle with a tiny little hole and you hardly need a dab of this because it goes a really long way. The claims are that the concealer will cover, de-puff, and brighten dark under eye circles. It’s formulated with honey, vitamin E and fruit acid to nourish and smooth skin.
I have been using a tiny little dab and find it spreads beautifully when I use my finger. It really blends seamlessly into the rest of my makeup, and 1.5 is my perfect shade. For reference, I am a NC20 in MAC makeup. I used it yesterday on just one eye for a while, and noticed a pretty major difference in brightness and concealing properties between my two eyes! I did notice a tiny bit of creasing, but I think I applied too much, and once I blended it out once I never had it crease on me again. Applying this with my finger and blending it out with a damp Beauty Blender sponge makes it creaseproof and amazing!
Here you can see this blended in on my arm. I didn’t want to totally blend it in so I left the edges a little smeary so you could see it show up on my skin. As you can see this is a pretty great match for me. It’s definitely high coverage and I’ll get a lot of mileage on it. If I used this tube every day it would probably last at least a year. There’s a ton of product there!
I’m really enjoying this product lately. What do you use as an under eye concealer?
