Innovative Makeup Tool- Doll 10 Beauty’s blendSMART™ Rotating Makeup Brush System

Every so often, a beauty tool will cross my desk and I have to share. I am fascinated by all the new and exciting beauty products that are out there today that I never imagined five years ago (highlighter and blush hybrids, serum foundations, etc) and even more so with all the different tools of application that we now have. The beautyblender sponge totally revamped the way I thought about applying foundation, and now we have yet another new invention, the Doll 10 Beauty’s blendSMART™ Rotating Makeup Brush System, one of the first automatic makeup brushes. If rotates 360 degrees to deliver 190 revolutions per minute for complete, even and natural-looking coverage in a snap.

As you can see above, it comes in a few pieces that go together. A battery is stored in the end of the brush, and a brush head. I believe the brush head pictured here is the #1 Foundation Brush head. According to QVC, it looks like there are several other brush heads that can be purchased and swapped out on this ergonomic handle. By simply pressing the on/off switch you are able to activate the rotating brush head to apply your makeup.

The brushes are made from high quality soft hair which makes them perfect with liquid, cream, or powder foundations.

In the picture below, I used it to apply my Rouge Bunny Rouge foundation. I found the easiest way to use the brush was to apply the liquid foundation with my fingers first and use the brush to spread the makeup around. Applying the makeup directly from the brush was less effective, as the rotating brush would shoot the liquid foundation out of the bristles as it was rotating! That thing works fast!

I liked it with liquid foundation but didn’t love the finish I got with my powder, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish. I didn’t try it with other powders, but I wonder how it would perform with a powder foundation?

bad day makeup copyIs this a must have in my makeup bag? No. But it’s really fun to use and I think it would be a great splurge for a beauty loving chica. At $66, yes it is a splurge. It is currently featured at $59.98 plus shipping so if you may be interested, scoop it up now! It launched on QVC April 28th and will be offered there exclusively through October 20, 2015.

I’ve been curious about the other auto apply makeup thing from Ulta, too, the one for liquids that’s like a sponge. Thanks for sharing this one!

Beautiful look. In addition to the novel concept, the brush itself looks like great quality.

This is an interesting concept, and I think it might be great for people who have a disability that makes applying makeup difficult.

I’m interested in this and I saw a couple other reviews that looked almost like they weren’t sure what to do with it? Hard to explain, but I held off for a better review. Your makeup looks flawless and I think this helped me make the decision to take the plunge

I bought the Doll 10 Rotating Makeup Brush and it is the best brush ever invented! I am 60 years old and a Beauty consultant and since I started using this brush, all my customers are asking me what I have done differently. A few have even asked if I have had laser technology applied to my face! It is a tool that applies your liquid foundation flawlessly! I even use it for concealer, contouring, and powder blush and the results are astounding! I look 10 years younger….truly! I am so happy to have found this on QVC when I was vacationing in South Carolina. Unfortunately, now that I am back home in Canada, I cannot find it here and I have so many clients that would love to order one. I, in fact, want to order more brushes as apparently they have a variety. I could use more as I use this brush for everything on my face, except eyes.
