I tried Olaplex Bond Smoother and this is what happened!

I have long, thick, wavy hair that I’ve worn in the ombré hairstyle for years. Read: I have bleach damage and a TON of hair. I’ve kept healthier hair over time by limiting how much I’ll wash and heat style. But lately my hair was looking a little brittle and since I was at Sephora and felt like treating myself I decided to pick up something I’ve had my eye on: Olaplex Bond Smoother. I’ve heard awesome things about this haircare line so I was ready to try the magic for myself. Read on to learn what happened when I tried the Olaplex Bond Smoother!

What is the Olaplex Bond Smoother?

This product is a leave-in reparative styling cream that eliminates frizz, hydrates, and protects all hair types. It works on ALL hair types and textures. Also, my non-toxic beauty loving heart completely loves that it is free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, phthalates, and oil. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free.

How does it work?

This is a hair product that does it all. It’s concentrated and can be applied on damp or dry hair to strengthen, hydrate, moisturize, and speed up blow dry times while smoothing and eliminating frizz.

If you know me, you know I’m super low maintenance with my hair. I legit only wash it 2x a week so I can’t be using a lot of hair products. I don’t like product buildup on my scalp or to feel like I need to wash my hair more often. So if I introduce a new product into my haircare routine, it totally needs to be something that does EVERYTHING and doesn’t leave my hair feeling gross, weighed down, or textured in any way.

Every time I use this, it’s immediately following a shower. I towel-dry my hair, brush it with a wet brush, and then take a quarter-sized dallop of this and work it through from near my roots to the ends.

How did the Olaplex Bond Smoother work for me?

I LOVE this hair product! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it’s replaced my heat protectant, detangler, and hair oil. My hair feels like silk and looks amazing after blowdrying. Any brittle looking ends or damage looks completely refreshed and renewed since introducing this into my haircare routine.

I’ve even used it this on my kids. For them, a pea sized amount on their fine hair is perfect. Using a wet brush and a blowdryer, it takes about 5 minutes to get bone dry hair with a glass-like finish and no tangles! We’re impressed.
