If you asked me when I was 18 what my absolute MUST HAVE makeup item was, I would’ve answered pressed powder. That’s actually hilarious considering I had great skin, yet I insisted upon wearing full coverage makeup. Fast forward a few years, I would’ve answered black eyeliner that I rimmed around my entire eye. Five years ago, I would’ve answered under eye concealer. Heck, I’d still answer under eye concealer! But if I could only wear one makeup item at all during my day, my top dog product would be an eyebrow definer.
I have been testing out the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil for the past couple weeks, and I have to say I am LOVING these pencils for a soft brow look. If you are looking for something with the benefits of a powder, pencil and a wax, then look no further.
These are housed in the most gorgeous, sleek packaging. There are two ends- one is a triangular shaped tip for precision, and the other end is a brush for softening the lines you create with the tip. I have found these super easy to control during application, and it’s hard to overdo them in color. I never get a harsh brow with this, it’s a super soft and natural look, yet still precise. I’m able to get the definition of a pencil, the fullness of a powder, and the staying power of a wax.
L-R: Warm Blonde, Soft Brunette
The two shades I tried were Warm Blonde and Soft Brunette. I was surprised to see that a blonde shade worked really well for me. The two shades are almost exactly the same, except for Warm Blonde leans a little warmer and Soft Brunette leans a little cooler. I have been using them both interchangeably, and sometimes I’ll layer the both. In the picture below, I’m just wearing Soft Brunette.
At $32, this is a worthwhile splurge that you’ll get mileage out of daily. I have yet to be disappointed by an Hourglass product and I have tried many. Their Ambient Lighting Powder and Ambient Lighting Blush (review/buy) are other favorites of mine. I’ve also gotten a lot of mileage out of their primer. I can’t wait to check out their holiday offerings this year!
Have you tried anything from Hourglass? What do you use for a brow product?
I’ve been loving these pencils as well. They feel so luxurious and look really natural!
I’ve only recently realized how much I need help with my brows. They used to be full enough that I didn’t worry about them. Now I wonder if I waited too long. The Hourglass sound wonderful.
If I had extra cash, I’d buy one of these in auburn in a heartbeat. I love that they have the built-in slant brush and spoolie, and it looks like they actually have a shade that would work for me. Maybe during the Sephora sale
I’ve heard so many great things about this brow pencil!
These look like they would be fabulous products… I definitely think they will do the job and I like the shape of the pencil.
Glad these worked so well for you!
I’m obsessed with good brow products. These look great. I’d definitely splurge on them.
These pencils have been getting great buzz! I love the triangle shape and the natural effect.
These look great, I have to try them!
You are killing me! I keep telling myself I don’t need this! Looks like I do though
THese brow pencils are so amazing.
Love that these have the benefit of a pencil and wax. So convenient!
I’m not even done with my first one of this yet and I already bought a back-up AND have taken 3 people to Sephora to show them. They all bought it. It’s SO GOOD.
I love these brow pencils!
I have been thinking about getting these. I’m in the market for new brow products.
I love these too, they work so great!
