Friday Favorites

If you asked me what my favorite post to make is, I would say Friday Favorites every time!  Rather than giving you a synopsis of what I’ve been loving for the past 4 weeks, or lusting after, I can tell you all the awesome things that have been grazing my face and my beauty wardrobe for just the last few days.
This week is especially rad because these products are a huge mix- beauty items that have been around in a certain line for ages that I am just now discovering, brand new items, and old favorites.  Enjoy!  And make sure you fill us in on your Friday Favorites in the comments section!

I just got a free sample of this at my local Clinique counter and I’m in love already.  Besides being an SPF product, it’s also a moisturizer and a primer.  How awesome is that?!  And because of the sun protection, it also keeps your skin bright as it repairs past damages and protects against future damages.  My other favorite part of this is the price tag which is uber low considering all of its great qualities, and you can’t beat the convenience of the squeezy tube!

I just got a sample of this at my local Estee Lauder counter this week and it is true love!  I am currently wearing their lightest shade, and it is so sheer that despite my suntan that has appeared since I began using it, it still works beautifully on my skin.  This foundation has some sort of technology that allows you to wear foundation but when the light hits your skin, it’s the skin that people see, not the foundation.  In other words:  no fear of cakiness or getting it on too thick.  It’s pretty much perfect!

$22- but less if purchased in gift set

This is the closest to my actual brush I could find on their website.  Mine came with a gift set of fun blushes and has a pink handle and brown and white bristles.  I have been obsessed with using this brush to apply bronzer to my face as I feel it gives me the most even and natural application I’ve ever had!  I have been using this mostly to apply my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer.

This spray is an old favorite of mine that I just discovered deep in the depths of my beauty cabinet.  I love the smell and I love the results I get from this spray.  It leaves my hair silky smooth and shiny but not so shiny that it’s greasy looking- just the perfect amount of shine.  It comes in a spray bottle which I like and it lasts forever!  It’s very lightweight and I also read on their website that it can double as a heat protectant, which I did not realize.  Now I will be using this product even more I’m sure!
I’ve been going nuts for this beautiful rose gold shade ever since I tested it for the company a week ago.  It is seriously the perfect marriage of a gloss and a lovely color with NO stickiness, NO flavor, NO scent, just beautiful shine and color.  I love how simple it is yet stunning at the very same time.  If you want to get your hands on one, we are doing a giveaway of a not yet released coral shade- just make sure you click the link right HERE to get more instructions.
I have been using this right after I wash my skin and it’s never felt softer!  Basically one side of the disk is an exfoliator and the other side is smooth.  I like to use the exfoliating side first, and build up a foamy lather, then use the other side.  It feels so good, and afterwards my skin looks fresh, clean, and all of my dull skin has been renewed and transformed.  After reorganizing my bathroom I stumbled upon these and have been obsessed with them ever since!  Great product, especially for a drugstore find!
I have been IN LOVE with this shade, that is brand new to the collection of Lancome eye shadows!  I will most likely feature it in a FOTD post sometime soon.  So shimmery, and a beautiful mix of teals and blues all in one shimmery shade.

Here is a list of some highly recommended products that I’ve been reaching for lately along with a mini review of the products.

1. The Body Shop Radiant Highlighter, $14
This is a very soft pale pink highlighter almost with some slight purple tones to it. It reminds me of Benefit’s High Beam, except you get more of it and its cheaper! I’ve been mixing this with my foundation and applying it lightly on my cheeks for some much needed pick me up and this is perfect for brightening up the inner corners of my eyes.

2. Spray di Sole Liquid Bronzer for Face & Body, $49.99 for bronzer and kabuki
See my full review here. I pretty much reach for this product daily. I will apply this on my face, neck, chest, and forearms for a nice bronzed look. Especially when I haven’t slept much the night before this is a life saver and actually gives my skin a very healthy glow to it. I love the way it feels to apply this and the subtle sun kissed glow you get.

3. Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in 45 Bold Gold, $9
I was gifted this baby from Justina and I’m absolutely loving it. I have a few other Color Tattoo’s that I almost never wear, but this color just hit it right for me. This is a gorgeous gold color that looks great with my green eyes. Although I notice some minimal creasing, overall, the staying power of this drugstore cream shadow is pretty amazing.

4. Rimmel London Lash Accelerator, $6
I find myself reaching for this mascara a lot lately. It seems to be the one in my arsenal that is best at lengthening my lashes without clumping. I think the volumizing effect is more minimal, but for length with no clumps, this is hands down the best for a drugstore priced mascara. It also has a lash grow complex infused into it and I do notice that my lashes really do appear longer when using this regularly.

5. Elle lipstick in 07, $16

This is part of the new Elle cosmetics line at Kohl’s. I was thoroughly impressed with this color. This is such a pretty pink that is neither dull nor too bold. It goes on super creamy and is pretty long lasting. I notice when it wears off it leaves almost a stain on your lips, but in a good way, so your lips have still retained some color after this has worn off. I don’t like the clunky plastic rectrangular packaging, but other than that, its one of my new fave lipsticks.

6. Benefit Erase paste, $26
This is a must have to cover up any dark circles you have underneath your eyes or any other red patches like around your nose, cheeks, or chin area. This has a thick consistency to it and a little goes a long way.

7. Peter Thomas Roth Laser Free Regenerator Moisturizing Gel Cream, $68
I have just been using this product for about a week so I really can’t comment yet on whether this reduced my wrinkles or lines. What I can say is that I love the pink colored creamy gel texture to this. It feels so luxurious when applied to my skin and my skin is left super soft after and feeling great. I’m looking forward to seeing my fine lines disappear, please!

8. butter London Trout Pout, $14
This is one of my 2 favorite colors for spring. The other color is Zoya Bevin which is a muted mossy green. Trout Pout is a fun vibrant peachy pink color that comes with a matching lippy. See this color swatched here.

9. Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Last Call, $18 (metallic sugar plum, luminous sheen no glitter)

This is a shadow I’ve had for months and months, but it is one of those I reach for on the constant. This pairs well with almost any other color, especially taupes and browns. I paired this with the gold color tattoo today. I usually apply it with a fluffy crease brush and apply it lightly into the crease and outer V area. This seems to make my eyes pop out and is just such a beautiful color. I bought this to pair with Woodstock which is a super bright pink and use to be my favorite, but I’ve found I tend to reach for Last Call much more lately.

10. Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Crash (deep plum with tiny silver glitter), $19

This is a perfect color for me and I’ve been using it a ton on my lower lash line and in the outer V area where the lash lines come together. This is a deep plum with subtle glitter to it. I notice it brightens up my green eyes immediately and is a go to eyeliner for me lately.

11. Laura Geller Balance -N- Brighten Foundation SPF 15 in Fair, $32
Although this is suppose to be able to be a wear alone foundation and not necessarily a finishing powder, I don’t find it has a enough coverage for me as a foundation alone. I usually use Garnier’s BB Cream or Jouer tinted moisturizer and then using a fluffy powder brush, I apply this over top. I seem to get the best results that way and notice my skin looks nearly flawless after.

So that about sums up my favorite products lately, all of the ones that I’ve been using several times a week. What are your Friday Favorites? Be sure to comment and let us know!
