I try not to get too wrapped up in the consumerism and overspending when it comes to celebrating “holidays” like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc. So on that day, I always like to do a little something special for my husband that doesn’t cost too much but comes from the heart. Recognizing someone for all they do doesn’t have to break the bank and I’ve rounded up five of my favorite ideas if you want to celebrate the way we do!In the last year or so, I’ve switched to using almost exclusively natural perfume. My husband has always been a hard sell when it comes to doing something different, but when he recently ran out of his favorite cologne, I thought it was as good of a time as any to give a new fragrance a whirl. I’m obsessed with Phlur’s scents, and I think Siano would be perfect for the man in your life. With notes of green pepper, ylang ylang, osmanthus, mimosa and cognac, it’s energizing but rich and a little exotic. Phlur’s fragrances are hypoallergenic, cruelty-free, vegan, sustainably sourced, and packaged with recycled materials. A full size bottle is a little spendy, but for Father’s Day I suggest getting a 3-scent sampler of 2 mL fragrances of your choice for $18. Choose three the father in your life will love! One gift that is always welcome in our house is anything relating to massage and relaxation. I’ve been working on self care more frequently and I’ve been getting massages for myself about once a month. I love the idea of doing something like this for my husband for Father’s Day because he works at a desk all day and I’m sure he would benefit just as much as I do.
T-shirts are always a welcome gift and anything Star Wars is a hit in our household. Amazon has a huge selection of fun Father’s Day gifts for dad and better yet, their 2-day shipping will ensure you can wait until the absolute last second and you’ll still be covered! This shirt was purchased for the dad in our house last year and it’s still getting a lot of wear time.
For Mike’s very first Father’s Day he got a keychain like this one. He still carries it to this day. I love that it’s something he can take with him wherever he goes. It’s practical and sentimental. There are many people selling these on Etsy. I like the designs where you can add on a new charm for each kid!
Last but not least, tickets to a baseball game are always fun! This list was a bunch of cheap ideas and really, if you don’t care where you sit, a baseball game is great and inexpensive family fun! We are going to one in a van we are trying for the week. Check out my Instagram stories if you want to follow along on our adventure this weekend!
Do you have any ideas for Father’s Day? What does the dad in your life usually get? I would love to hear how you pamper your hubby/dad!
