Fall Beauty & Lifestyle Faves

Fall is around the corner and I am ready. I’ve been checking out new beauty products and have many new favorites to share with you. I also have lots of lifestyle favorites I want to share. Let’s get right to it!

Fall Beauty & Lifestyle Faves

Fall Skincare Faves

I’ve been VERY relaxed with my skincare routine in the last few months. Basically, as long as my makeup is off, I end there a lot of the time at night and don’t even bother to moisturize. I have no idea how/why I became so lazy with it because it’s usually a 55 step routine (just kidding, but only kind of LOL). Let’s just say it started to show and I’ve been breaking out. I need to get my act together again. I have some new favorites and some old ones in this category to share.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash is saving my skin right now. Used AM or PM, it works amazingly well with my Foreo Luna. I love how deep of a clean this is and I forgot how much I love her skincare line. I used to use it all the time…why did I ever stop?

I’ve been following this up with the Volition Snow Mushroom Water Serum. I picked this up a couple months ago and I think it’s a great clean dupe for Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharge Concentrate. Not going to lie- I spent my own money on this and it’s $62. I’ll be sad when it runs out but I’m not sure if I’ll be running to replace it yet. Sunday Riley U.F.O is an awesome skincare oil that I discovered just this past summer. It’s a lighter textured oil that I know will transition perfectly into the fall. It’s still an active part of my moisturizing routine that I’m going to continue with.

Fall beauty and skincare favorites: Bite French Press Gloss, Kate Somerville Exfolikate, NuFace Mini, Tarte Brow Gel, Volition Snow Mushroom Water Serum, It Cosmetics CC+ Airbrush Powder

ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer is awesome and helps out my dryness in a big way along with wearing well under makeup. At night I’ve been reaching for Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask. This is my second or third jar of this from over the years. I really love Fresh Beauty’s moisturizers. They are some of the best out there.

I ran out of my primer that I use with the NuFace Mini and when I went to replace it I found that they reformulated it. This makes me so happy because I often use my NuFace in the morning after my skincare routine. The previous primer was not meant to stay on my skin so I’d have to wash my face a second time to remove it, then apply the rest of my skincare. It’s funny how even though I noticed a difference when I used the NuFace initially, I fell off the wagon with it because of that one annoying step. I’m back to using it again thanks to the new and improved primer! I can’t wait to get my results back- that thing really does work!

I got a Dermaflash a while back, and now that we’re heading into what for me is more makeup season (I don’t wear much in the summer at all!) I’m more interested than ever in keeping my skin smooth and keeping the peach fuzz away. Could I be using a tiny little facial razor for $1? Yes, yes I could. But I do love this facial tool and it does a thorough job.

When I have acne, I intermittently use Tarte Knockout Tingle Treatment. I have been reaching for this again lately for an overnight improvement in my acne. And boy does it work! I love the results I get from this and it’s one of the only products I’ve ever used that gives immediate results.

Fall Makeup Faves

Tarte Fairy Flush Blush, Origins Ginzing Mascara, Aveda Nourish-mint lipstick, Tarte Love Trust & Fairy Dust palette, Isagenix Ionix Supreme, Isagenix Isaflush

I have found quite a few new beauty products that I’ve started using and I’ve kept many older products going at the same time. I’ve never gone this long using the same foundation every day and I’m basically obsessed with it! I also found a dupe of another popular product that I’ve become obsessed with!

I’ve been using the Dr. Jart+ Black Label Detox BB Cream obsessively since I bought it months ago. It has the best coverage ever and looks flawless at all times. I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s actually the BEST foundation product I’ve ever tried. The drawback? It comes in ONE shade. I’ve also never tried it to see if it’s photo friendly at an event. (If I need full coverage and know we’ll be taking family pictures or something, I’ll stick to Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation or Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid which are both amazing for dry skin in the colder months too!) During the Sephora VIB sale I’m thinking about picking up the Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm since I’m almost out of the Black Label and want to see how this compares.

Back to school means early mornings for my family, which translates to under eye concealer for mom. I’ve really been digging the new Kona Eye Stick as well as the First Aid Beauty Avocado Bendy Concealer. It ticks all the boxes for me, and I love that the concealer works great as an eye primer as well. As soon as I felt like I narrowed down a few favorites for concealer, Josie Maran had to go and formulate a Vibrancy Argan Oil Concealer to match her Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid that I LOVE. I know I’m going to pick that up soon because of how much I love her foundation on my dry skin, so I’m anticipating that’ll be a new favorite of mine soon.

When I did my green beauty haul at Macy’s, I discovered my love for the bareMinerals Invisible Bronzer, and have been wearing it every single day since. It’s amazing on my pale complexion and I know it’s going to work seamlessly from summer to fall.

I have been entranced by fall releases by Tarte this year and have been wearing Love, Trust, & Fairy Dust on my eyes every day, as well as Fairy Flush blush and Double Take Eyeliner in brown. I’m a sucker for all new releases from Tarte because the amazonian clay formulas work well with my skin. It’s tends to be long wearing and I don’t really NEED a primer with their eyeshadows. Most of their palettes have fairly neutral options which is totally up my alley. The packaging is usually on point (not that that really matters) and I tend to love most of the makeup I’ve used from their line. I’m really feeling brown eyeliner this season- a deep matte chocolatey brown really speaks to me and having liquid liner on one end and pencil on the other seems like a no brainer.

FAB Kona Eye Stick, Tarte Love Trust & Fairy Dust Palette, Tarte Fairy Flush Blush, Origins Ginzing Mascara, Isagenix Ionix Supreme

Most of my lippies have been narrowed down to Bite Beauty, Kosas, Pixi, and Aveda at this point. I’m a huge fan of all of these brands for different reasons. Pixi sells the best liquid lipsticks around with every single shade being a neutral that looks amazing on fair skin. Kosas is one of my favorite brands for clean beauty and their lipsticks that I love are Rosewater and Undone. They’re not incredibly long wearing, but they are super moisturizing and great for an every day option when reapplying is convenient. My favorite long wearing lipstick formulas are Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche and the Aveda nourish-mint line. I freaking love their recent Spice Things Up launch, and all of the shades are awesome. The French Press lip glosses are pretty awesome as well. I’m obsessed with all things inspired by coffee, and this launch is no exception. Like I said, these brands have the best lippies around and I may as well destash the rest in my collection because this is all I wear anymore.

I’d be remiss not to include two recent faves as my last two fall makeup hits. I have itchy allergy eyes and have been looking for a mascara that works great on sensitive eyes that doesn’t flake or melt off. I discovered Origins GinZing Brightening Mascara the other day and I’m really loving the formula. The brush on this mascara is huge and gives me dramatic and voluminous lashes. I am surprised it leaves my lashes feeling soft and not crispy like most of the mascaras I’ve used and loved. It’s easy to wash off as well with no tugging or rubbing. My other recent favorite is the Liquid Fairy Lights. I’ve been wanting to splurge on Stila’s version for a long time but hadn’t gotten around to it. I love that these are a good dupe, you get a ton of product, and they’re budge proof. I usually put my eyeshadow on and layer this on top and the glitter stays put all day right where I applied it. It’s buildable and there are many shades available. I get compliments whenever I wear this with my eyeshadow.

Fall Hair Faves

My hair care routine is ultra simple. I am still rocking the long ombré hair that I’ve been wearing for years now. I typically air dry or blow dry my hair, apply Aveda Pramasana products to keep my scalp balanced and not flakey, use some sort of hair oil to moisturize like Biosilk and style with a heat tool. Lately, I’m obsessed with the CHI Lava when I wear my hair curly. I straighten it fairly frequently too. Let’s be real, most days I end up with my hair in a pony or a top knot, but I still love to style it!

Fall health & lifestyle faves

I’ve been taking my health more seriously in the last year, now that we are done having babies and it’s easier to picture my body belonging to just ME again instead of as a vessel for children to be born. Not that my body ever didn’t belong to me, but man does having kids take a toll on your body! And I had three in a short time! Anyway, I am really enjoying a few products that I’ve been keeping around and using frequently, and some I’ve mentioned on here as well.

I’ve been doing my very best to use my Agenda 52 planner lately. I’m a iPhone Google Calendar planner most of the time, but I like to get things out on paper too. The planner cover I have has not held up well: the button clasp is broken and the outer shell is scratched up already, but I’m determined to get it to work for me. I’m thinking a DIY with an old pair of jeans used as a cover is in order. Anyone interested in a post on that?

Phlur the Wanderer review and discount code

I’m still loving my Isagenix products that I’ve been using to better my health. I’ve been drinking Ionix Supreme every night for clarity, focus, and stress relief. I also love Natural Accelerator in the mornings and Isaflush in the evenings for keeping my metabolism where it should be and for keeping me more regular. These tiny changes to my routine were easy to make and the results are worth keeping up with.

I’ve been filling up my Wanderer by Phlur with Sandara lately. I’m freaking obsessed with this scent but the large bottle is too clunky to travel with. The Wanderer is a cute little 5 mL refillable travel case for Phlur fragrances. You hook it right to the top of your perfume bottle to fill it up. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. I have quite a few favorite scents by Phlur now, so check a sample set out for yourself! Click here for $10 off

Phoenix Tears CBD oil review

I’m still obsessed with CBD oil and wish I had found it sooner. It’s amazing stuff and I am super interested in trying out new flavors in the future. I feel like it’s the new thing with moms. Everyone wants some anxiety relief, but nobody wants the calorie count from the wine. CBD oil is the perfect marriage of everything I need while still maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Kendra Scott Jewelry review, Agenda 52 planner review

I’ve been loving my Kendra Scott jewelry I picked up this summer, and any time I go to put jewelry on I’m reaching for my Helga Rose Gold Pendant Necklace and my Kim Rose Gold Pendant Necklace. I never knew what I was missing out on before discovering Kendra Scott jewelry, but now I am realizing how obsessed I am with pieces that are grown up and classic, every day wearable, and layerable. Let’s just say I am only getting started with my collection of these pieces!

Lastly, I’m obsessed with Target and I’ve recently found that their store has amazing prices, more so than I can ever remember. Everything in their decor section is amazing right now, and when I was snooping around for a new coffee mug the other day, I discovered a bunch of amazing Igloo double walled thermos mugs for $6.99. Are you even kidding me right now?! I grabbed two instantly and I’ve been using them daily. LOVE!

These are just a few things that have gotten me through in recent weeks that I know I’ll continue to be obsessed with all season. I am trying out lots of new products right now that I can’t wait to write about too! So many fantastic new launches to be excited about.

What are you trying and loving right now? I’d love to know! Leave me a comment to tell me about all of your favorites in beauty, healthy lifestyle, and more!
