I’ve been kind of silent for the last week on my blog. It’s kind of like the calm before the storm over here. We had an absolutely insane week- my husband is in school full time to finish his degree and super busy at his day job. I have been trying to start a photography business and I’ve been crazy busy building my portfolio in the last few warm-ish days of the season. I’ve been planning my holiday content on the blog and taking pictures and testing products like crazy. It’s hunting season and we’ve had every weekend taken up with out of town hunting trips trying to stock our freezer for the winter. And as a stay at home mom, I’m trying to hold down the fort while two crazy kids are busy playing and growing up before my eyes.
*taking a deep breath*
Life is crazy over here but I’m trying my best to be present during this season. My kiddies are growing up so fast and although we are busy and the day by day seems tough at times, these are some of the best days of our lives. I’ve been putting my cell phone down between answering emails and trying to take in every moment. My husband and I recently got some wood watches that we have been wearing a ton. I feel kind of old school wearing a watch but I love that I can check the time and not need to carry my phone with me everywhere I go.
I got the Cora- Purpleheart and Pearl and my husband got the Dover- Ebony and Copper. I love the way they clasp in the back to fasten to my wrist and I was also able to size the links to fit me perfectly. 
As you can see, they work great for casual wear but I think they dress up pretty nice too. My hubby’s favorite part of his watch is that the gears are exposed up close.
I have a lot of fun holiday features I am excited to post on. Back to business after the weekend! Whatever you are up to, I hope you are enjoying the present and have something in the future to look forward to!

Very cool! I love the style of those.
When I was teaching I would have been lost without a watch. Now I just wear one, like my Jord, as a fashion statement. Their watches are a nice change of pace for women and great for men.
