Easy & Fast Go To Summer Look

Nothing to Disclose Press Sample

I don’t know about you, but I tend to have a few go-to makeup looks that I pull out during the summer. I love makeup and all, but I love getting out and getting some sunshine more, so I can’t be bothered with a tricky routine. Below are some of the products I’ve been reaching for non-stop!
First of all, I’ve been using L’Occitane’s Jasmin & Bergamote Perfumed Body Milk after my showers. It feels so soft and smooth on my skin. I have been taking night showers so I can sleep in a little longer in the morning, so I go to sleep with this light and calming scent on my skin. By morning, I can no longer smell it, but my skin is so soft. For a high end lotion, it’s actually pretty reasonably priced- $20 for 5.9 fl. oz. Normally, I’d be wary of a lotion that had the word “perfumed” in its name, but it’s honestly a really light scent. L’Occitane is one of my top favorite brands I discovered in the last few months, and of everything I’ve tried from them, I would recommend everything so far! This lotion is no exception. It also comes in a matching perfume, which I have not tried yet. I imagine they smell lovely layered together!

My Airport PURE Beauty Blender Kit has been the most amazing new addition to my beauty routine! The little egg-shaped sponge and the solid cleansing bar that comes with it fit in a cute little pouch together. I’ve been using this every single day since I got it. If it seems unremarkable to you, realize that the little tip on the top fits perfectly into the nooks and crannies that are hard to reach and blend with a foundation brush- the nose, by the eyes, etc. The solid cleaning bar that comes with it is awesome, and I’ve been using it to clean my brushes too. Everything I’ve used this with has gotten really clean so I’m pretty impressed!

The case it comes in is really awesome too. The beauty blender gets pretty dirty with foundation in between washings, so I like to keep it in this container so it doesn’t muck up everything it touches in my makeup bag!

After lotioning my body, and using foundation, I have been reaching for the rest of these awesome products. The Maybelline Dream Sun bronzer in Medium Glow is something I’ve just started using but it’s quickly winning my heart. I really love that it gives a nice sheen to my skin without being too sparkly. Check it out at your local drugstore, since it’s limited edition for May 2013!
Next, I’ve been using Clinique’s Chubby Stick for eyes in Bountiful Beige for an eyeshadow base. I like it pretty well, but my favorite part is it’s sheer so it doesn’t leave too much pigmentation if I want to wear an eyeshadow over top that is also rather sheer. I also don’t have to get my fingers dirty  so it saves me a little time washing my hands in between doing my makeup! If you’re looking for something with a ton of pigmentation, this isn’t it, but I find it works well for me when I’m going for a rather sheer look.
Smashbox’s Love Me palettes have really been useful for me lately. I reach for either the blue or the neutral one every single day. I find that mixing the darker two shades together on a fluffy brush and putting that into the crease, putting the silver on my entire lid, and then putting the blue just in the center of my lid makes a gorgeous and super quick look. I use only 2 eye shadow brushes for this and it’s SO easy!

Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Eyeliner Duos are an awesome on the go product. There are many color combinations on their website, but I have the black/blue one. I love lining my top lash line with the black and my bottom lash line with the blue. It’s not an 80’s blue either, it’s more like a deep navy/almost black that brings out the whites in my eyes.
I’ve been trying to use up my 457742 mascaras I have sitting around. The one I’ve been using up is a sample of MAC Zoom Lash. I really like it for volumizing and lengthening, but I have other mascaras from the drugstore that do the job just as well. If you’re thinking about Zoom Lash, I think L’Oreal Voluminous is pretty similar.
For lips, I’ve been in love with Vincent Longo’s Duo Lip Pencil in Passion and Spring Rose. Admittedly, lip liner has never really been my thing. Mostly it makes my lips look dried out and I don’t think matte is a good look on me. However, I really like the way these colors compliment each other, and I enjoyed being able to wear them together. In my lip look below, I lined my lips and filled them in with the darker shade first, then filled the center of the top and bottom lip in with the lighter shade. It doesn’t quite give an ombre effect, but instead it makes my lips look fuller.

To give my lips a little shine, I used Soap & Glory’s Fuchsia-ristic Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick. I will be doing a review on these soon, but so far I love them! I didn’t use this to add a ton of pigment to my lips (I’ll swatch these another day) but I love that it makes my lips pillowy soft, smells like chocolate, and gives me a glossy look over the lip liner.

Putting this look together takes me under 10 minutes. It’s so easy and I find it’s appropriate for every occasion, whether I’m running errands, or doing something at night. Plus, even when my gloss fades off, my lip pencil keeps my look vibrant so I always have a little something on my lips to bring them out!

I would love if you told me in the comments some of your favorite makeup looks lately. I’m always looking for easy looks that can be accomplished in 10 minutes!
