When the weather heats up, all I want to do is go outside and play, but I still like to look like I put a little bit of effort into my appearance. I’ve been scouring my beauty collection for a few items that will allow me to look a little bit more put together but still not take very much time or effort. That means I am leaning towards products that have more of a sheer finish and some of them are multi taskers. I am pretty much obsessed with easy makeup so I’m sure this will be the first of many posts like this in the coming months. For this post I took a few items that are already in my stash and have been reviewed before along with a couple items that are new to me to show you what I have been reaching for a lot recently.
Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield* was a fast favorite from the very first time I tried it. I’ve reviewed it before here. I enjoy using this as a primer and I also carry it in my purse to put on midway through the day when I need an SPF touchup. It doesn’t wreck my makeup and makes me look refreshed so it’s a win-win for me all around.
My Pur Air Perfection CC Compact Cushion Foundation officially began my love affair with cushion foundations. A lot of brands carry these lately. I am trying Clinique’s right now too and really loving it! Read my review of the Pur one here.
Jane Iredale GreatShape Eyebrow Kit in Brunette has been used almost daily since I got it and it’s such an easy thing to wear. I reviewed it here. I’ve been using this on rotation with the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Brow. I love them both, so when I am feeling the powder/wax combo I reach for the Jane, and when I am feeling a pencil I reach for the MUFE. Lippies are my favorite thing in the summer. They’re easy to wear, easy to change out, and also easy to use on both the lips and cheeks. For a multi tasking lip and cheek duo, I am really enjoying the By Rosie Jane Cheek & Lip Gloss in Poppy. This organic and adds just a touch of color to the cheeks and lips. It’s pretty sheer and leaves a little bit of a glow too since it’s more of a balm. It’s super easy to wear with just about any makeup since it’s barely there!
I’m also really digging Jane Iredale products, having recently tried their line for the first time. I’m loving the PureGloss Lip Gloss in White Tea. I don’t tend to enjoy lip glosses because they can be sticky but this one doesn’t leave that tacky feeling on my lips and I’m loving the golden caramel shade that is barely there but flatters anything I wear with it. I’ve also enjoyed the Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Pink. It’s less vibrant than most color-adjusting formulas I’ve tried and with the slanted lipstick applicator I’m more likely to stick to using it on my lips than using it as a dual product. But it’s definitely possible since it’s made for both! Both of these Jane Iredale products are ones I’ve been reaching towards frequently lately for super easy summer makeup.
