So…I bit the bullet and signed up for
Birchbox again! I’m a naughty girl. I haven’t subscribed in over a year, but with all the holiday reviewing I was doing, makeup and beauty stopped being fun for a while. I felt like I needed a little pick me up with no pressure to review- just a little treat for myself! But of course, in the spirit of being a blogger, I couldn’t keep this away from the blog. It was just what I needed though, and I am so excited to share the contents with you!
Birchbox gives their monthly subscription out in the cutest little boxes. I usually save these! They’re perfect for storing batteries, bobby pins, earrings, perfume samples, etc. They’re super sturdy and to me, getting the box itself in the mail is half the fun! Also, I never use everything in the box, but I love having little extras around to gift to friends or friends’ kids, or for travel. I do a fair amount of traveling between Washington and Wisconsin, so I’m always glad to have minis laying around.

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk was one of the items in my box. I’ve used Klorane before and I’m a fan. In fact, I think I have the full size of this laying around somewhere. Truthfully, I used to be a dry shampoo fanatic, but I rarely use it these days. When I had short hair, it was a staple in my hair routine for days I didn’t have time to wash my hair. I’ve been in the routine of slicking my bangs back with a headband on days my hair doesn’t look so hot, but I could really be using this instead!
ARCONA Cranberry Toner is a product I’m torn on. First of all, it’s beautiful to look at. It’s a shimmering pinkish shade and so pretty in the bottle! Second, it can be used as a makeup remover and as a toner. There is no over-applying. It won’t dry out the skin because it’s so hydrating. Third, it’s got so many good for you ingredients- antimicrobial cranberry to get rid of pore-clogging bacteria, witch hazel to calm irritation and redness, and phytonutrients, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants to keep the skin hydrated, soft, and healthy looking. So…what’s not to love? It has such a strong fragrance of cranberries! Don’t get me wrong, I really like cranberries, but I don’t know if I want my face to smell like them. It’s just really in your face like BAM when you use this product. It’s not bad enough to stop me from using up the sample, but I wouldn’t repurchase.
Color Club nail polish in
Top Shelf is a gorgeous shimmering copper. This is probably going to get the most use out of anything in the box! As soon as I get a spare moment to myself this week, I’m going to paint my piggies in this shade.
Harvey Prince Hello is the fragrance sample in this set. I have reviewed lots of Harvey Prince fragrances in the past, but I haven’t covered this one. I haven’t opened this yet, because part of the description said “heady floral” and I usually can’t handle that type of fragrance. I will either open this little vial and use it or send it to a friend.
Ahmad Teas were one of the brands represented in the box this month, and I loved using them! I have hot tea all the time, so I was really happy to get some tea bags in my Birchbox. Peach and Passion Fruit was the first kind I tried out, and I thought it was delicious!
This was a good box for me! I will use all of the tea bags and the nail polish for sure. The Klorane dry shampoo and Arcona toner will be going straight into my overnight bag (I keep one packed for last minute out of town trips). I made sure to hurry and review everything over on the Birchbox site, and I already have 50 points saved up to redeem for free full size products in the future!
I hope you found this review useful! If you are inspired to sign up for Birchbox, you can do so here. That’s an affiliate link, which means if you sign up, I’ll get points towards products in the Birchbox shop, which would make me oh so happy! And by the way, I’m thrilled that they saved my leftover points from my previous subscription…points save for 365 days before expiring. Woot!
