I am a die hard high end makeup lover. Always have been, always will be! I also love a good deal. As a blogger, I search the ends of the earth for unique products and every so often I stumble on a brand that gets me really excited and I don’t even care…I just want to try it! I was so impressed when I checked out Glamour Dolls Makeup because they are cruelty free, vegan, and the packaging is absolutely adorable. But wait…everything costs less than $5?! Color me impressed.
How is this possible?
Glamour Dolls Makeup works side by side with some of the top beauty factories and they cut out the middle man. They don’t utilize any advertising or marketing at all, just word of mouth. The money savings is transferred to the customer. Cool!
What they sell
I was really impressed with the selection of products that I tried out and of course now that I’ve scoped them out I want to try everything! They sell eyeshadow singles, eyeliner, glitter liner, makeup brushes, bronzer, fake eyelashes, lip gloss and lipstick and a few other fun accessories. The packaging is adorable and they even collaborated with Lisa Frank for some of their makeup. Awesome!
What I loved
I was really surprised how much I loved the Glamour Dolls makeup I tried. The first thing that caught my eye was the Bronzer. The pan is enormous, and for $4.99 you are really getting a hugely generous amount of product! I love that it’s 100% matte which is so much more flattering on my skin than a shimmery bronzer. It comes in only one shade but the shade is glorious. It reminds me a lot of It Cosmetics Sunshine in a Compact. Think warm and brown, with no hint of orange. Super flattering!
I’m not much of a lip gloss fanatic, but I absolutely loved the Gloss Snob lip glosses. It’s a squeezable tube gloss and it reminds me so much of the ones from Victoria’s Secret except for these are only $2.99. These glosses are paraben-free and high shine. Mood Ring is a mauve shade and so pretty. It was my favorite that I tried! What struck me most is that the pigmentation is intense and non fading. I was super impressed!
Mattenetic Lipstick in Activate was my favorite find. It’s a gorgeous mauve nude which as a brunette with brown eyes is my HG color. It just always looks good on me no matter what I wear. This is a really outstanding lipstick. It’s soft, comfortable, and the color is bold and full coverage in one swipe. I love the matte finish and that it doesn’t suck all the moisture out of my lips. What it really reminded me of was the finish of Clinique’s Matte Lip Pop. Better yet, the case of the lipsticks close with a magnetic so they will keep closed in your purse. Amazing! And only $4.99!
Some of their other products I was also super impressed with, like the Gel Eyeliner for $1.99 which is practically unheard of, and the Lisa Frank makeup brushes which are completely adorable. I typically reach for my It Cosmetics brushes on a daily basis because I love the quality but when those were dirty and I reached for the Glamour Doll ones, they did the job. I wasn’t mad at them!
The cutest packaging ever
I often think of super young people when I look at cutesy packaging, but I was surprised by how well the products performed too! The Donut Lip Gloss and the phone grip were both cute items that I don’t see myself using much but the price is right for gifting. My kids were OBSESSED with them and I know little kids or teens, heck even some adults will be really into them. The makeup items that I tried were spot on and those brushes! So cute. Glamour Dolls makeup is adorable and great quality.
I love that makeup brands are pushing the boundaries of what’s being done. It’s awesome that you can get great makeup that’s cruelty free and vegan and not spending a ton of money on advertising, and the consumer gets some great stuff for under $5. I would love to see them come out with even more products in the future. A foundation, blush, liquid lipstick…please?! I’d love to see what they can come up with next.
