I was a huge fan of the original Bite Multistick so when I heard they came out with another launch of these, but in a prismatic pearl formula, I had to know more! I have all five of these shades to share.
What they are
What I like
I am drawn to products like these that promise to cut down on my time getting ready. If I can wear this on my eyes, lips, and cheeks, it’s a multipurpose product for me!
I love the pearlescent shimmer these products give off. If you swatch one of these you’ll see what I mean. The glimmer is beautiful and it’s easy to talk yourself into picking a few of these up.
I am obsessed with Bite Beauty because their lip products are made with natural, organic, good-for-you ingredients. Nothing from this brand contains gluten, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, or petrochemicals. They’ve come out with so many beautiful shades without compromising nasty ingredients. I love that!
How did these work for me?
I was hopeful these would make a great multipurpose product for me, and in my personal experience, they didn’t work in this way. I tried them on my eyelids and it was crease city and a glitter bomb. These are super shimmery so not something I’d think to use as a highlighter on myself, because I prefer something with finer shimmer. So right off the bat, it’s not a multi purpose product on me. However- on the lips- it’s magic!
I had high hopes these would dry down like the original multisticks, but they tend to stay smooth and a bit glossy. Keeping that in mind, I was the most drawn to the shade Rose Pearl. I have fair skin and very unpigmented lips so adding a bit of color to them is the ticket for me. This was by far the most flattering shade when worn alone, but I could layer the other shades over a lipstick and they’d be beautiful as well.
Peacock Pearl swatches as a dusky blue/gray on fair skin, but on Sephora’s website I could see it on darker skin, which is where it really comes alive. If your skin tone is medium to dark, the blue tones come out and it’s gorgeous.
When I wear them over the span of several hours, they do fade on my lips but the glitter doesn’t spread. This is true whether I wear them over a lipstick or by themselves. While it fades, it becomes less vibrant, but my lips still look normal. It’s not a product that I have to worry about while I’m wearing, and keep checking to make sure I don’t look crazy!
Overall, these are lovely and I’m glad I have them as a lip topper. I’ve for sure had the most use out of Rose Pearl but I’m loving playing with the others too!
