Y’all know I LOVE lipstick as a quick way of changing up my makeup and looking fresh faced. When it comes to lipstick, you can go so many ways. Some formulas are more like a healing balm, some are a gloss or an oil, some are matte and long-wearing, etc. One of the most comfortable lipsticks I own are the Osmosis Lip Intensives, but if you are looking for something a little more long-lasting and staining, it’s worth checking out a newer launch by Bite Beauty: check out the Outburst Longwear Lip Stains.
Currently, these lippies come in three shades: Strawberry Frozé (hot pink); Orange Fizz (bright orange-coral); Sangria Slush (bold true red)
Bite is one of those lipstick brands you can feel GREAT about wearing. They pay attention to their ingredient list and they just know how to do lipstick so well. That’s the only thing they have in their line. I’d really love to see them expand into other types of beauty, but I’ll have to be satisfied by the fact that they only create AMAZING lipsticks for now. The Outburst Longwear Lip Stains have passionflower oil, coconut oil, and sunflower seed wax, for moisturizing, and all-day color.
The Outburst Longwear Lip Stains come in three bright shades, and have a satin-matte finish. When you first apply these, they look like a bold lipstick, and hydrate like a balm. Over time when the shine fades away, you are left wearing a long-wearing stain. The shades are very bold but the formula is comfortable, lightweight, and waterproof.
Should you buy these lip stains? I think so many people will love these. I find most lip stains to be very drying and uncomfortable. Liquid lipstick can look cakey and give me “butthole lips” that are cracky and make me look 95. These have a ton of pigmentation and I appreciate that they start off like a hydrating lipstick or balm, with the stain being what you end up with after it starts to fade away. I love that I can drink my morning coffee, go about my day, and four hours later if I look in the mirror, I have a nice stain left over on my lips.
If I could wish anything for these lip stains it would be for more color options. I’m a huge fan of the formula, but everything available right now is so freaking bold. I love that, but sometimes (ok, most times) I am looking for a my lips but better shade. These are great, and would be even greater if there were more natural shades available. Please, Bite Beauty?? ??
