Bite Beauty has some of my favorite formulas for lipstick, so when I saw them come out with the Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks, I knew I had to get my hands on the new shades for fall. These liquid lipsticks are creamy, highly pigmented, moisturizing, and come in 18 shades.
When I hear “liquid lipstick” my mind goes to a matte lipstick, which these are not. These apply with a wand applicator for precision, and the lipstick melts into your lips. They are very moisturizing and comfortable to wear, which is due to the natural monoi butter and coconut oil in the formula. After application, the color is so comfortable on my lips and since the formula is thick and creamy, it remains a little bit moist. If you have something to drink, the color will transfer to your cup, so it’s not budgeproof. However, if you like the look of a semi-glossy finish on your lips, and you like the feel of something hydrating and healthy, you will love these! For a lipstick that does transfer, it sure does last a long time on me. I’ve found that the shades fade evenly throughout the day into a stain. They really do wear beautifully- but it took me a time or two to figure out how much to apply. Too much in the corners of my mouth did pool up a bit.
These are the new shades. I love that there is something for everyone in this shade range. I was immediately drawn to Chai, because it’s such a nice neutral. Tourne and Chiffónade are both more electric in color. Pare is a spicy orange that is perfect for fall. Stir and Mix are beautiful jewel tones with Stir being a little more on the punchy purple side. I just love these!
If you already own a few of the original shades, I will let you know that there are some similarities. I fell in love with these and wanted more, so I went shopping and noticed that Chai (mauve brown) and Éclair (soft rose) are very similar. Purée (burnt orange) and Pare (spiced ginger) are also very similar. If any of these are your “color”, you may be able to justify owning both. But since I have so many in my collection, I saw they were similar and didn’t need more!
Here I’m wearing Stir. I love the intense magenta for fall! It really wakes me up!
Bite Beauty is created with natural and organic ingredients, and their lip products don’t contain parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, or phthalates. They’re food grade so you can feel good about wearing them! This is one of my favorite brands, especially since I feel like I can kiss my babies all I want while I wear their lipsticks.
Do any of these shades speak to you? Tell me what your favorite is!
