Thank you Olay for partnering with me for today’s post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Over the last year my skin has been in better shape than ever, in part because I have adopted a simpler method of keeping my skin healthy. Drinking water, eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, and avoiding dairy and soy have made a huge difference in my complexion. I still enjoy a long and pampered skincare routine, but lately I’ve been finding myself reaching for simpler means of cleansing and moisturizing.
I’ll admit a huge part of my quest for a quicker routine is that I’ve been binge watching T.V. late at night. Our main floor is where the nearest bathroom is and all of my skincare is upstairs. Commercial breaks are quick and if I fall asleep watching I don’t want to wake up with a full face of makeup on in the morning. I love the idea of a convenient face wipe like Olay Daily Facials that can leave my skin clean, hydrated and smooth. Better yet they are specially textured so they take the place of a scrub, toner, mask and cleanser.
In the past I have frequently used a separate makeup remover and face wash, and usually you have to go through lots of steps to get everything off. Makeup removers and micellar waters don’t get all the grime off of your face and even though they break down your makeup the oils and goo still need to be rinsed off. Olay Daily Facials remove dirt, oil and makeup two times better than basic cleansing. I was surprised to see that it took off every trace of my makeup down to my mascara. My favorite part is that they are water activated, so if I don’t use them every day they won’t dry out on me.
My nightly routine with these lately is so easy! I take a cloth and get it wet in the sink. I then work the textured woven cloth around my entire face until it has reached a nice foamy lather. I usually make a few more passes over my eye area to first loosen the makeup there and then cleanse it away. I then rinse and pat dry and that’s it! My skin is left feeling smooth, soft, and firm. I would even venture to say I could skip moisturizer sometimes with these because they are so hydrating. My skin type is on the drier side so I will usually finish off with some rosehip oil or just be done after washing, depending on how my skin feels that day.
It’s hard to beat the 4-in-1 formula of the Olay Daily Facials because they’re quick, easy, and a box of 33 cloths rings in at under $10. I’m really impressed! Now that Olay is on my radar, I also really want to try the Olay Regenerist MicroSculpting Cream. I am used to spending way more money to get soft, firm, plumped up skin so I’m always excited to find something that really performs for less. In summer I like to go makeup free often so it’s especially awesome when I can feel confident in my skin. We are always on the go so it’s nice to feel like I don’t need to take the time to wear a full face of makeup. If I can look and feel good without then why bother!
Tell me in the comments- what do you use to wash your face with when you’re in a hurry or just don’t feel like it? Am I the only one who likes to reach for a 4-in-1 during a quick commercial break?
