Beauty Hack: DIY Wax Strips

Beauty Hack - DIY Wax StripsI’m out of muslin strips!

Today I have a beauty tip for you. Have you ever purchased a wax kit to do your eyebrows and run out of the muslin strips that come with the package of wax? It’s always an annoyance to me that I’m given enough wax in the kit for an entire year, but enough wax strips for only a couple waxes.

My favorite beauty tip

This is a tip I learned from a friend in middle school, and I’ve been using it ever since. If you want the sturdiest and most amazing wax strips you’ll ever find, look no further than last month’s discarded magazine. I tear off the front and back covers of a magazine- the glossy, thick part is what you’re looking for- and cut or rip them into strips.
It’s as uncomplicated as that. They adhere very well to the wax, and I find they work at least as well as muslin strips, if not better. In fact, I have never purchased wax strips at the beauty supply store because I think these work just as well.

Just tried this and it works great! Never buying strips again. I actually just tore the pieces out and the other pages worked well too. My tip is, I use a glue stick on my eyebrows before waxing. No more accidental waxing. Thumbs up!!

Hello, I am using a cold wax and what i use is just a plain paper. I choose the thicker sheets coz i used the thin sheet type, it breaks easily so I opted to choose a thicker type. I usually recycle the papers used in the office. Hahahaha. But the thing here is, I am not sure if it’s applicable to any kind of cold wax that uses waxing strips. I haven’t tried using different cold wax brand using ordinary paper as waxing strips.

I have personally not tried this with cold wax! It might be worth a try though. Let me know if it works!
