I worked with Macy’s on this post, but all opinions are mine.
I’ve been prepping my kids for back to school, and with all the great deals I’m finding at the mall I wanted to treat myself too! I did a post recently on the best green beauty finds at Macy’s and have incorporated many of those products into my back to school beauty routine. Whether you are attending as a student yourself, or the mom of kids who are in school, getting up early is tough. It’s nice to have a routine down during the school year. I keep all of these items on my bathroom vanity and in an easy to reach makeup bag.

My nighttime skincare routine is equally simple. I always double cleanse with a cleansing oil, and usually the same bottle I use in the morning. Gotta keep it simple! I love how well Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery dissolves all of the day’s makeup. I usually follow up with a simple cleanser like Clinique’s Mild Facial Soap with my Foreo Luna. I often use some kind of nightly refining micro peel like Kiehl’s Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate. On nights I’m not using that, I’ll use Sunday Riley U.F.O. to keep my acne at bay and my skin looking fleeky. It’s amazing. I finish off with an awesome nighttime moisturizer like Clinique Moisture Surge.
One of the best ways I’ve gained back time in the morning is by having all of the makeup I regularly use in a makeup bag. I have a big stash in my bathroom but grabbing my bag allows me to just have what I need that day. I can rotate it out as necessary! I love Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation as a great full coverage option that melts into dry skin. Lancome Absolue Pearl powder works awesome as a setting powder with that foundation! Bare Minerals Invisible Bronze is still my ride or die bronzer and I’ll be continuing to use it into fall. I love a neutral blush and reach for Tarte Seduce all the time because it matches any eyeshadow look. I’m obsessed with Tarte eyeshadows because I don’t find myself needing a primer with them. Love Trust & Fairy Dust has been on heavy rotation at my house lately, as well as the new liner. And Clinique High Impact mascara is a trusted favorite over the years as well. I switch my lippie out all the time but have rediscovered the Burt’s Bees lipsticks recently. Love!
I keep it REALLY simple with my hair. I shower at night, let my hair air dry, and heat style in the morning. It goes quick! I love CHI to straighten or curl. I’m also becoming a hat person because I love how I can look put together with one with almost zero effort.
All of these beauty products are available at Macy’s! I love shopping there because they are one of the best beauty destinations at our mall. They have so much to choose from and many of my favorite brands. I have to go there anyway to pick up back to school items for my kids, so I know I’ll be making a stop sometime this weekend.
What do you do to simplify for back to school? I’d love to hear about your go to products!
