POPSUGAR provided me with a complimentary POPSUGAR Must Have box. The opinions I have shared about the box are my own and POPSUGAR did not tell me what to say or how to say it.
I was totally freaking out when I got the shipping notification that Popsugar was sending me one of their Must Have Boxes this month. I’ve received their boxes a few times in the past, and they’ve always been absolutely amazing. There are just SO MANY beauty boxes out there now, so I appreciate one that always sends a few lifestyle items but also sends a beauty item or two. Check out what was inside!
Ok so I might have actually let out a squeal when I saw that this box would have a Bite Beauty product inside. I am obsessed. Seriously, do a search for Bite Beauty on my blog and I have reviews on their lippies all over the place because I am in love. I hadn’t tried their Lush Fruit Lip Gloss yet, and this is an exclusive shade called Popsugar made specially for the Must Have Box’s second birthday. The gloss has nourishing strawberry, coconut, and avocado oils in it, and is so soft on my lips as well as looking really glossy!
It amps up my natural lip color a little bit, but it’s not too punchy. I’m really enjoying the formula too! I am waiting for the holidays to see if Bite comes out with a huge sampler of these rather than picking up each shade they carry in the Lush Fruit Lip glosses, although I will have to admit that it’s tempting!
There were two food items, the Mason Jar Cookie Company cookie mix, and a Think Thin high protein bar. I haven’t made the cookies yet, but it’s on my agenda for next weekend when we will be having family in town helping us finish paint our new house and unpack. I haven’t seen the protein bar since I unwrapped the box, so I can only assume my husband put it in his lunch bag. I’ll have to ask him if he enjoyed it!
The Goodbyn purple meal and dipper set was a fun surprise in the box. I work from home, so I don’t see myself using this, but it’s a really neat portion controlled lunch container and I can see my husband getting some mileage out of this. If he won’t use it, I’ll pack this for our almost 2 year old with car snacks. She is going through a growth spurt and major temper tantrum phase, so I don’t dare go anywhere without packing a treat for her.
The Lollia At Last perfumed shower gel arrived to me leaking, but it was in a plastic covered packaging, so it didn’t make a mess. Phew! I think a lot of people got leaky bottles this month, so I don’t know what’s up with that. I’ve tried Lollia before and it’s very strongly scented if you’re into potent fragrances. If you bathe with this, you may not even need perfume! I haven’t tried this specific fragrance yet besides washing it off my hands when I opened the box.
The Paddywax Ocean Tide & Sea Salt candle was one of my favorites of the whole box. I love mason jar candles and this one smells GOOD. I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s a clean and yummy scent. I can’t wait to burn it in my new apartment! I bet the blue glass of the jar glows while it’s burning too!
I also got the Kendra Scott Elisa Necklace in Black Cat’s Eye. On Instagram, everyone was freaking out that this box would contain Kendra Scott jewelry. I had never heard of her! I guess I’m behind on the times, but I can see the hype. This is a gorgeous necklace. It is a little longer than choker length on me but a little shorter than most of my short necklaces. The awkward length is easily fixable with a necklace extender. This would also be perfect for layering I think! It’s really high quality, I can tell just by holding it, and retails for $65!
If you’re interested in purchasing a subscription for yourself, use code AUG14SELECT to save $10 on a 3-month subscription. This code is valid now through 9/10/14. The boxes are normally $39.95/month with free shipping. August’s box had over $130 value so you’re definitely getting way more goodies than you are paying for! My favorites this month were the candle, the lip gloss, and the cookie mix!
