I’m a Murad Ambassador, but all opinions are my own.
I recently read an article that mentioned why Kim Kardashian never smiles– she claims it’s because she doesn’t want to get wrinkles. I think that’s seriously a shame because she has a lot to be happy about, and why not smile? Plus duh, plastic surgery. But because I LOVE to smile and don’t have my own team of plastic surgeons and makeup crew to follow me everywhere, I have to focus on good skincare that is wrinkle preventing. Specifically, I’m always seeking out skincare that helps with anti-aging, moisture, occasional acne flare-ups, etc.
Murad’s Resurgence line combats age-related dehydration, and is totally rocking my world right now. I’m only 28, but in the past couple years I have definitely noticed that if I don’t stick to a specific regimen, my skin gets really dry and my fine lines become more prominent. The Intensive Age-Diffusing Serum is something I’ve been using day and night. The RepleniCell technology turns water into a “performance hydrator,” helping skin act younger in three ways: attracting water, binding water to the skin, and retaining water.
The Age Balancing Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 has been my daytime moisturizer to layer over this serum. I’m using a different moisturizer at night now because I don’t wear SPF to bed! This also has the RepleniCell technology with all those awesome hydrating benefits that I love. This comes in a squeezy tube which is AWESOME because I’m not dipping my fingers into it. I notice a huge difference in how soft my skin is when I wear the the serum and moisturizer together.
I am a major serum lover and skincare junkie and super picky about what I use and I give both of these products an A! When I started using these, I didn’t have any breakouts and this has not caused any flare ups. I love that my skin feels firmer and more supple when I use the serum and I love that the moisturizer has SPF. I like that it’s fighting aging with the ingredients and also protecting me against further damages by giving me sun protection. I’ve not always been awesome about protecting my skin in the winter, but yes, I realize the damaging rays are still out there. My skin feels plumped up and fabulous with this combo of products!
I have to admit one thing that gives me pause with these products is the price tag. The serum is $75 and the moisturizer is $70. I’m no stranger to pricey skincare and I realize a lot of times you get what you pay for in terms of concentrated, awesome ingredients. But daaaang girl, at these prices I would kind of expect them to make me dinner or do my laundry. These are really high in quality but the serum is lasting me about half as long as the moisturizer because I’m using it day and night. And I could do a lot of cool things for $145. But if you are serious about skincare, it could be worth the investment. And I am very serious about skincare, so there you have it.
Dr. Howard Murad is a multi talented dude and on top of developing high quality skincare products he is an author. When the company sent along the skincare, they put a few of his books in the box as well. I read a little bit and I was inspired by the uplifting messages in them. Even the title “Why Have a Bad Day When You Can Have a Good Day” kind of makes me stop and think a second and reframe my thoughts. I’d rather have a good day ANY time and it’s not a bad mindset to adopt!
Have you seen these products around? LOVE me some anti-aging skincare. What do you use?
