Hello Ladies! Today I bring to you all of my bronzers. Before you choke on the sheer amount, keep in mind I built up my collection over a few years and they are high end and low end. Since there are so many I’ll keep it brief!
Rimmel Bronzer in Sun Dance and Sunlight
Hands down the best drugstore bronzers I’ve tried. The packaging leaves something to be desired, but the colors are great for contouring or for bronzing and they are long wearing. They run about $3 a piece.
Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzer Powder
These have OK staying power but not wonderful, but I think the duo was around $3 so you get what you pay for. The blush shade reminds me of Nars Orgasm or the Balm Hot Mama but is not an exact dupe. This is a nice duo to own but don’t expect it to last your whole work day.
Milani Soleil Baked Bronzer
I purchased this from Walgreens a couple weeks ago when I was obsessed with getting a Laura Geller baked bronzer. I tried to talk myself out of it by getting a drugstore “dupe” but was disappointed. I can pick up lots of the bronzer shade when I swatch this with my finger, but when I try to apply to my face with a brush, I only get the gold flecks on my cheeks.
theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer
A beautiful deep matte bronzer that comes in a wonderfully portable container in its own little sleeve. I love this product and it’s not hard to find within one of the Balm’s many gift sets.
Bare Minerals Warmth
Another beautiful deep, matte shade. No shimmer or sparkles in this whatsoever. Gives a wonderfully natural glow.
The Body Shop Cheek Color in 04 Topaz
A deep blush that can be used as a bronzer. This contains a lot of sparkle and shimmer, so watch out and don’t over apply!
The Body Shop 02 Bronzer
This is very similar product to The Body Shop Cheek Color in Topaz but without the sparkle. I would compare this product to Bare Minerals Warmth.
Clinique Transparency Bronzer
This is the most versatile, buildable, beautiful color of bronzer I’ve ever tried and comes at the best value. You can get about 3 years of use out of the enormous container and it’s right around $20. It’s a very natural shade and builds without looking cakey. This is pretty much the hero of all of my bronzers.
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer
This is a great bronzer, but for how expensive it is, the compact breaks easily and the packaging is a little retro for me. Although it claims to be matte, there is clearly some shimmer in there. All in all, a really beautiful option for a bronzer that suits all skin types.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
One of my absolute favorites. The smell is intoxicating! Nothing like swiping pure chocolate cocoa beans on your cheeks to make you LOVE applying makeup! The price is $29 which seems like a rip off when you first look at it, but once you start using it you understand why. It’s deep and matte but goes on like a dream.
Too Faced Pink Leopard Brightening Bronzer
I would consider this to be more of an illuminator than a straight up bronzer. This is a gorgeous shade and I wear it often. One of my favorites!
Clinique Almost Bronzer in Light/Medium
This thing stinks. It is supposed to be a cross between a powder and a bronzer. It gives somewhere between sheer to no coverage. When I originally tried it, I did like it, but it seemed like over time the top layer of the product hardened and it became increasingly harder to get any product on my makeup brush.
Clinique Glow Blush
This is a cream blush, but it is in a bronze shade and I use it for a bronzer/highlighter. This is one of my favorite makeup choices for lazy days. If I swipe on a little tinted moisturizer, some of my Glow Blush, some mascara and lip balm, I’m good to go. It’s easy to wear it for dress up or dress down. It gives you a perfect wash of color with a little bit of sparkle, but not too much. Love this product!
Murad Absolute Bronzing Boost SPF 15
This product came in a recent My Glam bag. It was a little sample that had a pump and to my knowledge was supposed to give a bronze wash of color. It comes out of the pump a milky brown color, but when you apply it it goes sheer on your skin to the point where you can no longer see it at all. If I apply more, I just get a murky streak across my skin. Not worth my time to figure out!
