I was never into initial or birthstone jewelry until recently. Once I had kids I felt this urge to wear something gorgeous that displayed that I am a mother! I chose the Stamped Initial Bar Necklace in rose gold, after doing a lot of mixing and matching and playing on the website! Everything on the site is so gorgeous I had a hard time choosing. At first, I wanted to get the Bold East West Pear Necklace that the model is wearing on their site, and then I thought about the Three-Stone Bar Necklace. I was unsure which three stones I should get- my daughters both have a September birthday which is White Sapphire- and ultimately decided to put that on hold until we are totally done having kids. I ended up getting the Stamped Initial Bar Necklace in 14K rose gold with a sterling silver chain and a small diamond and a “G” for my last name. I am so in love with it and since it’s adjustable I know I could eventually layer it with the pear necklace or the other bar necklace that I linked above.
The process of picking out jewelry and customizing it myself was so fun. I loved to mix and match and watch the styles change and the price go up and down. Even some stones that I had no reason to pick (Smoky Quartz- November’s birthstone) looked so amazing with the rose gold. I have seen birthstone jewelry that features the brown stones and it always seems to ruin the look of the ring to me. I just loved the way a lot of the colors pair with the different metals, and I think anyone would have fun playing stylist on their website before your eyes!

I got the sterling silver chain because I’ve always had great luck with silver chains and thought it would be just fine. I like the contrast between the rose and the silver so I think it was a great choice. I just wanted to show you the clasp here. It doesn’t look like anything special at first glance, but it’s actually one of the nicest chains I’ve ever had on a necklace. It’s so sturdy! I also love that there’s an extra place to clasp the necklace if I would want to wear it shorter or longer to layer it.
The first thing that struck me when opening my package from Gemma Gray was the heft of the necklace. For being so dainty and delicate, this is a true gold bar, it has some weight in my hand, and I really feel like for the money, you’re getting a great value. It came with a certificate of authenticity as well that I’ve kept to put in my box.

OMG, there are so many pieces that caught my eye. I think I could spend hours on the site browsing. There prices are so affordable, I love it. On my fairly quick perusal, the Eclipse Pear Triple Stone Necklace is my favorite. I love blue topaz and I love the delicacy of the necklace and the way the 3 blue stones fall. I love all of the simple designs. I think I would get the east-west oval necklace in gold with a rose quartz stone. It is a very classic style, but the sideways orientation of the stone looks very modern too.
