A few new green beauty faves

Some of these products were purchased by me, and some were sent by the brand for consideration. All opinions are my own. Affiliate links used.

It’s been awhile since I shared some of my latest green beauty favorites with you so I thought I’d start doing a monthly roundup of my favorite new finds. I’m always testing out new stuff so I’m excited to share with you some of the latest hits in all categories- skincare, makeup, etc.

Elina Organics CBD Ageless Wrinkle Filling Serum

CBD is a hot ingredient in skincare lately. I’ve had my eye on Elina Organics as a brand and I was super pumped to try their new CBD Ageless Wrinkle Filling Serum. It’s got all kinds of soothing plant-based ingredients like sunflower, birch, cranberry, bitter apple, Vitamin C & E. The scent of this is minimal which is how I prefer my skincare. I can feel my skin tightening when I apply this, and in a good way like it’s firming up and smoothing out my skin. It leaves behind some moisture and my skin looks and feels a little bit more dewy youthful when I use it. I’m going to keep it in my routine for now and see what kind of changes I see over time!

I was really intrigued by their website, which has all kinds of adorably packaged products that I would love to try sometime. Next on my list is the Leave On Under Eye Recovery Mask which sounds like exactly the kind of rich under eye product I need in my life! They also have a variety of masks that sound very unique, like the Sapphire Mask and the Probiotic Polishing Mask that sounds like it’s well loved by everyone who has ever tried it. They have makeup too, and CBD Hydro Glow Gloss in a few shades that look like they would flatter all skin tones. This is a brand to keep your eye on for sure…maybe more of their products will be featured in a post like this one in the future.

Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream

If you’re looking for fast and amazing results with your skincare, I have a couple tricks up my sleeve and this is one of them. I’ve been using Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream for a couple months now and I’m loving the results. I had not ever used retinol on a regular basis before trying this product, but I have to say I’m loving it! This is a 1% vegan retinol formula, and it’s really gentle on my skin. What I’ve come to expect is that if I apply a very thin layer in the evening, I will be able to lightly exfoliate off some dry skin the next morning or two. Between this and my L’Bri Rejuvenating Facial peel I’m really not reaching for any other skincare treatments. I’m all about the KISS method.

When I use retinol, I make extra certain I’m using SPF the next morning since it’s revealing my brand new baby skin. My only gripe about this one specifically is that there are some packaging issues. It’s housed in a metal tube and once the product starts flowing it’s hard to stop it. I just poke the package back to it’s original shape if I leave a dent by squeezing it, and that seems to do the job.

L’Bri lipstick in Tea Rose

I spend entirely too much money on lipstick, since it’s the easiest way to up my makeup game in about 10 seconds. One of my favorite formulas is the Bite Amuse Bouche, but I’ve been searching for something on a budget. And honestly, the L’Bri lipsticks are really quite good and only around $13. I’ve been getting a lot of mileage out of Tea Rose, a neutral shade recently, and I’d even go so far as to say the formula is a reasonable dupe for my beloved Bite Beauty, with just a touch less longevity. I’m looking forward to trying other colors!

L’Bri foundation in Linen

I’m a foundation junkie so always looking to try a new one! Recently, I’ve been getting a lot of use out of the Flawless Finish Foundation in Linen by L’Bri. I would classify this as a medium buildable finish foundation. It is lightly hydrating but still dries down a bit and doesn’t need to be set with a powder. I really like how natural this looks on my skin for every day, and applies easily with a wet sponge. I love that this line is all aloe-based which works really nicely with my normal/dry skin type.

Zue Antioxidant-Rich Face Mask

I’m always interested in a new face mask, and I was super excited to try the Zue Antioxidant-Rich Face Mask. This mask is at Whole Foods and a bunch of other retailers. I love that it comes with a little brush to apply. The mask looks like birthday confetti cake with all of its Vitamin E beads. It’s made from clay and dries on my face and when I rinse it off my face is left clean and fresh. I love trying out new skincare and I’m sure this will stay in my rotation until it’s gone.

These are just a few new things I’m trying. Have you heard of any of these brands? What would you try?
