Most days I’m not spending a lot of time on my makeup. I’m all about casual and easy. We went to the pumpkin patch today and I wasn’t going to wear makeup, but last minute decided I wanted to look more polished! I usually wear very little makeup and today was no exception. It only took me 5 minutes, and since I know most of us are busy, I thought I’d share some of the very easy to use products I used and a couple tips I use to make application go easier!
Bold pops of color are fun but when I only have 5 minutes to get ready (like…the rest of my family is already getting in the car!) I move quickly and find shortcuts! I love the Osmosis Performance Wear Satin Foundation as a choice for an every day foundation. It blends in great with a Beauty Blender. I can quickly go in with the Bye Bye Concealer around my nose and under my eyes to bring down redness, and then set my whole face with Clinique Transparency Powder. Next, I grab my Nude Glow which is perfect for makeup loving gals on the go; it has blush, highlighter, and bronzer. I love to custom mix a blush shade for myself, and pop a little into the crease of my eyelid. I’ve tried lots of liquid liners and the It Cosmetics Superhero is one of the best yet! The last two steps to finish up my eyes are doing my brows and my lashes. I’m loving the Osmosis Brow Gel with the Brow Power Pomade for extra hold. Big Tease Mascara has a great wand that works great for both the upper and lower lashes; the pointy tip really helps you reach the lower lashes in a hurry without making a mess. And a good warm nude that I’m really loving is Incognito. You need to try it!
Want my three best tips for doing your makeup in a quick hurry?
- Go for a clean, fresh faced look. Adding a little life to my skin is usually a quick task. I credit using great skincare. I only have to work for a couple minutes to get an even skin tone, cover blemishes, add a little life to my cheeks, etc. Going bold requires more careful makeup application that I don’t have time for when I only have 5 minutes.
- Keep it all in a bag. I have a bunch of makeup that I like in an eDiva in my bathroom, and then I have the stuff I use on a daily basis (which I rotate out) in a makeup bag. It makes it quick to find something.
- Looking polished is all about paying attention to details. It doesn’t have to take more than a few minutes, though. If I want to look on top of my game, putting on liquid liner, applying a quick coat of mascara, and shaping my brows makes me look like a completely different person. Having a flattering nude lip shade on hand also helps. If I only have time for a couple things, the eyes and the lips will be what gets my time.
Clean and fresh makeup is my favorite kind to wear! I haven’t gone funky in a while- maybe that will be the next makeup look I share! I do like pops of color and if I have more like 15-20 minutes it is so fun to play!
