Though I will never go totally green (I love so many of my non-green beauty finds!) I do appreciate a skincare routine comprised of less toxic options. I have lots of favorites I’ve found over time, and I wanted to share some of the best clean, less toxic, more natural skincare finds I’ve stumbled upon. Each of these options have been tested and well loved by me over time, and they’re so good I knew I had to share!

One Love Organics Vitamin B Enzyme Cleansing Oil + Makeup Remover– This is hands down my favorite clean option for cleansing oil. I use some sort of cleansing oil or makeup remover daily as part of my skincare routine. I am able to remove all traces of makeup, including eye makeup with this awesome cleanser, which has the delicious scent of pineapples. The fruit enzymes in this formula exfoliate and soften the skin, while the natural Vitamin B complex detoxifies and tones. My dry skin feels so nourished and balanced after using this!

Ingredients: helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil*, caprylic/capric triglyceride, di-ppg-2 myreth-10 adipate, polyglycerol-3 beeswax, carica papaya (papaya) seed oil, cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil*, tocopherol, ascorbyl palmitate, papain*, lecithin*, fragrance/parfum

Youth to the People Age Prevention Superfood Cleanser– I discovered my love for this after getting a small sample of it . This is a really great cleanser for dry skin since it’s so gentle. I use this after I remove my makeup to keep my pores clean. It’s a great consistency for using with something like the Clarisonic or the Foreo Luna. It’s antioxidant rich and loaded with superfoods like kale, spinach, and green tea, too! As an extra bonus I love that buying this supports a family owned company that makes all of its products in small batches in CA!

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A) Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Brassica Oleracea (Kale) Leaf Extract, Spinacea Oleracea (Spinach) Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Medicago Sativa (Alfalfa) Extract, Brassica Oleracea (Kale) Leaf Oil, Polysorbate 20, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate

One Love Organics Vitamin E Eye Balm– I use an eye cream every day to help keep that area moisturized and healthy looking. Of all the natural skincare I’ve tried, this eye balm comes out on top! I love how soft and supple my eye area feels after putting some of this on. Morning and night, it works great. I take a small amount of the product and warm it between my fingers before applying it around my eye area.

Ingredients: butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, jojoba esters (and) tocopherol, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil*, punica granatum (pomegranate) sterols, adansonia digitata (baobab) oil*, aspalathus linearis (rooibos) extract*, centella asiatica (gotu kola) extract*, euphrasia officinalis (eyebright) extract*, caprylic/capric triglyceride (and) alaria esculenta (kelp) extract, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) essential oil*, foeniculum vulgare (fennel) essential oil*

Acure Marula Oil– I’m obsessed with Acure for how inexpensive their oils are and for how well they work! I used up a whole bottle of Rosehip oil and now I’m on to trying the Marula oil. So far, it works great on redness, keeping my skin hydrated, and plumped up so any tiny fine lines aren’t so apparent. It’s definitely one of my all time favorite green beauty finds!
Ingredients: Sclerocarya birrea (Marula) seed oil.
One Love Organics Vitamin C Moisturizing Facial Serum– Another OLO product! But seriously, this whole brand is gold. I love the Vitamin C serum because it is amazing for my dry skin. There are so many good skincare ingredients in here like Vitamin C, organic green tea, Vitamin E, etc. When I use this I don’t feel like I have to add more moisturizer on top because it boosts my hydration so much. I love the way makeup looks over top of this as well- so luminous!

Ingredients: simmondsia chinesis (jojoba) seed oil*, butyrospermum parkii (shea) oil*, camellia sinensis (green tea) seed oil*, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, jojoba esters (and) tocopherol, capric/caprylic triglyceride (and) humulus lupulus (hops) strobile, adansonia digitata (baobab) oil*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil (and) malpighia glabra (acerola) fruit extract*, rosa canina (rosehip) oil*, hippophae rhamnoides (sea buckthorn) oil*, rose extract, ascorbyl palmitate

Tammy Fender Spontaneous Recovery Cream– This was one of the first green beauty items I’ve ever tried. The last time I used this was in the dead of a Washington winter- so frigidly cold and dry! This stuff completely transformed my skin and I even remember siphoning just a little at a time on my super dry skin days. I wanted it to last forever and this stuff is pricy! If you’re not familiar with Tammy Fender as a brand, the stuff is made from plant butters, oils, herbs, and other wonderful ingredients with holistic and healing properties.

If you are looking for some of the best of the best in green beauty, check them out at Great Beauty where you can find this stuff on sale right now. Warning- you will become addicted!

    Hi Justina,

I haven’t tried Acure Marula Oil yet but I will surely try to have. I like the fact that it is affordable yet so effective. I also read reviews about this product and people have proven this to be effective.
