After a particularly stressful day last week, I found myself at Sephora wanting to find a pick me up. In my opinion, Fall is when all the amazing new releases come out. As someone with lighter skin and darker hair, berry tones and neutrals flatter me and it seems like there is no shortage of those types of releases this time of year. The product I ended up with isn’t berry and it isn’t a neutral but it was screaming at me from the shelf because, HELLO! It is just so beautiful and the moment I laid eyes on the NARS Bord De Plage Highlighting and Bronzing Palette I knew I had to have it.

NARS Bord De Plage Highlighting and Bronzing Palette reviewThis is a stunning, limited-edition palette complete with four highlighters and two bronzers. The highlighters can be used wet or dry, and they’re all light enough that they’ll suit a fair complexion right now (with a bit of a tan) or in the dead of winter. I’m really into NARS but don’t own any of their highlighters or bronzers so this was a great find for me. And at less than half the price of buying them each individually!

NARS Bord De Plage Highlighting and Bronzing Palette review and swatchesI swatched the pans in a fade out effect so it looks like 3 pans, but there are 6! Also, these swatches don’t do the palette justice. The texture is just stunning and you need to see them/feel them in person!

You are getting:
– 4 x 0.12 oz/ 3.4 g Wet/Dry Highlighters in Rifage (glistening pearl), Corniche (soft pink shimmer), Crique (pale gold shimmer), Galet (golden bronze shimmer)
– 2 x 0.12 oz/ 3.4 g Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer in Laguna, Casino

So my thoughts? There’s not a dud in the whole palette. I love the bronzers and I see the hype surrounding them. They give a natural warmth to my skin without being over the top or too orange. The highlighters are also lovely. I use a fan brush to apply them to the high points of my face. The luster of the highlighters is not over the top when applied dry but can be intensified if applied wet. I am usually going for a natural glow which is totally achievable with these. It doesn’t accentuate my pores either which is a total win. The texture of the formula is soft to the touch and the color payoff is intense.

As someone who owns a lot of makeup, I also appreciate the ability to own all of these shades in one palette. I know I’ll use them all, but I certainly don’t need a full pan of each shade! The palette itself is very portable and the case it’s enclosed in is hard and can easily be wiped down so I know it will be good for travel and it will stay looking nice.

NARS Bord De Plage Highlighting and Bronzing Palette on light skin I’m wearing a few other new items from NARS in this look. Stay tuned in the coming days for more reviews on their fall items! I have really enjoyed their new matte liquid lipsticks, foundation, and eyeshadow palette too.
