This summer has just blown by for us. We moved into a new house, and by the time we had looked up from unpacking our boxes, it was already July! I can hardly believe it but before we know it it’s going to be the dog days of summer and then school will be starting. In Wisconsin, August is always swelteringly hot and if I even bother to wear makeup, it has to be completely sweat-proof, melt proof, and budge-proof. I’m not going to chance sweating one of my eyebrows off, so I need to make sure I choose the right products!
Before I touch upon makeup, I have to tell you about my favorite hair combo for summer. I decided this year that I want to spend more time on my hair, so if I’m wearing it down, I really need to get rid of the insane flyaways and poofiness I get in the humidity. My favorite duo has been using the Christophe Robin Moisturizing Hair Cream with the Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother. This combo has been so good for my hair in the summer months.
For my eye makeup, one step I never ever skip is my eyebrows. Anastasia Dip Brow is the gold standard for really long wearing eyebrows that look very natural. If I haven’t convinced you you need this, I’ve been using mine forever. I have been working on the same tub for a few years and it’s still going strong. Make Up For Ever does waterproof and budge-proof makeup really well. I use their eyeliners all the time as well as their eyeshadow sticks. Milk Makeup has really good eye pigments that I’ve enjoyed for their longevity as well. It Cosmetics has the absolute best mascaras for length, volume, and drama hands down. Superhero is good but they also have many waterproof formulas.
