As you know, I love to play with skincare and makeup. I’m always peeking at the beauty displays everywhere I go. Target, the grocery store, the mall, etc. Like moth to flame, I can’t stop looking at what’s out there and what new brands I may not have heard of that line the display shelves. I was at an organic market recently and picked up the Acure Rosehip Oil on a whim. I don’t even know why I picked it up to be honest with you- I have SO much skincare already, but it was only $10 and I was sleep deprived and in the shopping mood so it ended up in my cart.

This was a really amazing find for me for a few reasons. It’s easy, it’s cheap, and it’s organic. Let’s talk about easy- I can skip my serum, moisturizer, and eye cream when I use this and I don’t miss them because my skin stays just as moisturized as if I had gone through a lengthy routine with many products. Price wise, you can’t beat it! It’s around $10 everywhere I’ve looked. And the ingredient list can’t be beat- plain old organic rosehip fruit oil. Rosehip oil is a balancing oil due to its low pH, so it helps protect the skin’s natural acid mantle. It absorbs quickly and has a slightly thicker and fattier texture than I was expecting. It’s really an amazing formula for someone like me who has dry skin that is very sensitive.

I didn’t read the directions but once I started looking this up online I’m finding it’s best when kept in the fridge to preserve the shelf life. I have also read reviews that many people have received a bottle that smells like fish?! I haven’t experienced the fish scent, but it also doesn’t smell like roses to me either. It’s more of a nutty/earthy scent. And despite keeping mine on the bathroom counter and not the fridge, my oil seems to be doing just fine.

I’m loving everything about this oil right now! If it matters to you, it’s not only organic but also vegan, sulfate free, paraben free, and cruelty free! Cool! Now I’m curious if all rosehip oils are this amazing, or if I just hit the jackpot with a super cheap find from this brand. I’ll link all the rosehip oils I can find below in case you want to window shop with me!
