While I’d love to have an hour to get ready in the morning, it’s just not in the cards for me. Over time, I’ve developed a super streamlined routine for getting ready and now I’m able to apply a full face of skincare and makeup in 10 minutes! If you missed my last post, I’m storing my every day items in a roomy makeup bag and I’m telling you it shaves tons of time off of my routine.

Skincare (3 minutes): My first step is always getting my face prepped for makeup. I am still using all of the holistic skincare I wrote about last week but I’ve added a few items to the rotation that I haven’t talked about here yet. I’m testing out Odacité Papaya & Geranium Serum on my dark spots right now. I’m also trying iS Clinical Youth Serum on my whole face and Grapefruit Acne Spot Treatment under Citrus Clear Skin Repair Organic Moisturizer. I’m trying to stay more consistent with my skincare and I’m very much enjoying the natural/organic options I’ve been using. My skincare routine is quick but effective and I find it’s quicker for me to get the rest of my face ready when my skin is already in good shape.

Face Makeup (3 minutes): Depending on how much time I have on my hands, sometimes I’ll skip a step or two. I have been using Glo Minerals Tinted Primer and Amazing Cosmetics Line Smoother + Primer most days for sun protection, and to fill in my lines and pores. Josie Maran Vibrancy Fluid Foundation is my jam lately and I’ve been setting it with my Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder which is a new favorite of mine. Love that stuff! I also wear blush every single day and my most reached for shade this year has been Tarte Sensual. The point here in this step is to even out my complexion and add some warmth to my cheeks so I look more alive.

Brows and Lashes (1 minute): I look so much more like myself after this step. I’ve been using Jane Iredale Great Shape for quite a while now to get my brows looking more shapely. I recently opened a tube of Benefit Roller Lash and I am loving the volume it gives to my lashes too.

Finishing Touches (3 minutes): If I don’t even have 10 minutes to begin with I’ll skip this step and just put something on my lips and go out the door. I’m obsessed with Clinique Pop Matte lipstick in Cute Pop lately. It seems to go with everything! Also on the list would be bronzer. I am trying a bronzer by Glo Minerals right now. I will write more about it in an upcoming post but so far so good. I like that there is a matte and a shimmer section in there. My two last finishing touches are a highlighter and an eyeshadow. My favorite highlighter of the moment is Cover FX Perfect Light Highlighter in Moonlight. It’s all I’ve worn for months! And for eyeshadow I’ve been obsessed with Tarteist Pro on the Go. It’s the perfect little palette and I wear every single shade inside.

In 10 minutes I’m certainly not getting glammed out but I do feel better about myself and like I can put my best foot forward to start the day. Of course if I have more time, I might spend a bit more effort on my eyeshadow or try out something new and I will have time to play! For an every day routine though, I am satisfied with the way I look with very little time invested.
